RAGNAROK ANNOUNCEMENT
Hey, Mortal Ends:
The staff has been deliberating these last few weeks regarding how Ragnarok will be handled going forward. These changes exist primarily in logistics, in order to keep the plot moving quickly, efficiently, and keep things fun for all parties involved.
First, phase 1 and 2 threads will be ending soon! All phase 1 threads should end on March 11, 11:59 PM EST. Please try and come to some kind of ending point that makes sense. Phase 2 people will have slightly longer. All phase 2 threads should end on March 18th, 11:59 PM EST.
Second, we are moving the date of the event itself and changing how the event is structured. It will now be taking place May 16-18. This means that you are free to thread in the months leading up to this event, which effectively opens March, April and May for everyone. Enjoy the spring months! As to the structure changes, we've reduced the number of phases and streamlined the event. Unfortunately this will require players to sign up again for phases 3-5.
Third, we would like to clarify the amount of time that an individual is granted once it is their turn. You have 72 hours from when the person before you posted. This is three whole days, so please, pay attention to the hour in the post! We do realize that stuff happens and sometimes people don't notice their turn is about to be over until the final moment. So we have an hour grace period. Meaning that you effectively have seventy-three hours to post without it being marked against you. Two offenses of expired turns will result in injury that will disqualify you from most future phases, three will result in your character being removed from the plot, including your present phase due to serious injury/unconsciousness. If you cannot make it within your time for whatever reason, please let a member of the staff know (staff is effectively R. Dani , S.S.A. Aech , R. El right now), and we will accommodate you as best we can.
Fourth, we are going to be introducing cut-off dates for future phases. These dates will be included inside of the starters themselves, and reminders will be given by the admin team as to when to start wrapping things up. If you'd like to help things move faster than the likely month period we'll be doing per round, aim for the Leviathans! These guys shouldn't be torn through like tissue paper, but taking them out will speed things along, since when the last Leviathan falls, it's assumed the forces have been thinned/defeated and the round is over.
Fifth, we would like to reiterate that while there are overarching themes and story elements to each phase, these threads are ultimately your own. That means that if you really want to take down the Leviathan by blinding it and then steering it into the pavement through electric shocks, knock yourself out!
Lastly, if you would like to join Phase 3 and on, sign ups are still open! But Phase 3's cut off date for sign ups will be March 18th, and Phase 4 will be March 25th.
I know that seems like a lot, but hopefully that clarifies things and will make things easier/quicker.

It is that time! We've been in "Prelude to Ragnarok" mode for quite a while here at Mortal Ends, but this month we're going to be starting the plot itself. In this post I shall give a basic timeline and guidelines for the plot. The second post will be for sign-ups. Be sure to read it carefully as only certain characters are eligible for each "Phase" of the battle.
The battle that begins what will be known as Ragnarok takes place over three days and takes place in five phases. The general outline of this begins below.

DAY 1:
- Phase 1 begins.
- Phase 1 ending & Phase 2.
- Phase 3.
- Phase 4 begins and ends.
- Phase 5.
GUIDELINES
- The battle's official occurrence for purposes of story line will be May 16th - 18th, which is the approximate time we plan on things wrapping up, hopefully.
- During the event no threads can be started for the aftermath, even if you choose not to participate in the event itself.
- Threads can be started that take place before the battle.
- Threads for the event should take priority to all others while it is going on, and many will be running concurrently.
- All characters should come out of this battle injured, although the degree of injury will be up to the players themselves. If you so wish, you may even kill your character (but speak to an admin first, please).
- You will have three days to post once its your turn in a given thread. If you miss two posts, your character may receive a more serious injury that will disqualify them from further phases. This is simply so we can keep things moving.
- Further guidelines will be posted for each phase.
