INFINITY ENDVERSE: STORYLINE

The year is 2016. Thanos' failed attack on Earth left him to lick his wounds in shame, and this would not stand for a creature such as him. With all the power at his disposal, he launches an uninhabited planet at the planet Earth, hoping to destroy them now rather than rule them. 

While approaching celestial bodies would typically catch attention, in this case everything happens too fast and the planet collides with the Earth...

And then time stops.

Three Infinity Gems call the planet Earth home, and neither is keen to have itself obliterated. Together they launch a blast of power to save the planet and there is a flash as everything shifts. The Time gem hides itself deep in the Sanctum Sanctorum. The Mind gem stays in its place in the head of the Vision. The Space gem settles itself with the King of Atlantis, Namor, knowing power when it sees it. 

When time starts again, everything is different. The world is changed. It is different and new. While some seem to not even notice they are living completely different lives than they were mere seconds ago, some suddenly find themselves in a new reality.

They are left wondering... what has happened? Can they ever return home?

[No. No, they cannot return home. This change is permanent and they will have to learn to live with it. Doesn't mean they have to stop trying.]

NON-EARTH CHARACTERS

Due to not being native to the world that was changed, all Asgardians, Svartalfar, and other alien life forms that had visited Earth would remember the previous Mortal Endverse and would find the change that has happened strange. (This does not include Inhumans, who are technically human and native to Earth.)

Non-Earth natives will know that something has changed and the magically inclined that have knowledge of the Infinity Gems would be able to pinpoint them as the cause. As with other characters that remember the old continuity, Infinity Endverse characters that non-Earth natives meet might remember them differently, but to them it will be clear that something has changed.
