Eight O'Clock on the Dot!
El and Lux are making magic in this thread. Straight up fireworks, and the way they've played with drawing out the reveal is top class.
No one is sure where the capital city got its name, except that it is one of the brighter cities in the Shadow Province, experiencing longer days than most of the state due to its higher elevation. It is the seat of the government of the state.
The headquarters of the Avengers superhero team is located near the eastern border, where they commence operations to protect both Shadow Province and New England, though their focus in on the latter.
The top-ranked institute for training the citizens of Shadow Province in anything they wish to pursue, including governmental positions and those of superheroes. The Academy is attended by nearly everyone that wants an upper-level education and is divided into multiple smaller schools, including feeder schools for the SHIELD organization.
An expansive compound hidden in the west of the Shadow Province, SHIELD HQ is the home of the world’s greatest espionage force, headed by Nick Fury. Somewhat of an open secret when it comes to the citizens of the state and its allies, SHIELD is nonetheless an impressive intelligence organization.
Located directly west of New England is the state of Shadow Province, so named for the long winters and long nights that make them up. They have a long-standing alliance with New England, where they provide aid in the form of the Avengers team while the latter provides technology back. It is currently led by Nicholas J. Fury.
