Eight O'Clock on the Dot!
El and Lux are making magic in this thread. Straight up fireworks, and the way they've played with drawing out the reveal is top class.
It is that time! We've been in "Prelude to Ragnarok" mode for quite a while here at Mortal Ends, but this month we're going to be starting the plot itself. In this post I shall give a basic timeline and guidelines for the plot. The second post will be for sign-ups. Be sure to read it carefully as only certain characters are eligible for each "Phase" of the battle.
TIMELINE
The battle that begins what will be known as Ragnarok takes place over three days and takes place in seven phases. The general outline of this begins below. DAY 1:
Phase 1 begins.
Phase 1 ending & Phase 2.
DAY 2:
Phase 3.
Phase 4.
DAY 3:
Phase 5 begins.
Phase 5 ending & Phase 6.
Phase 7.
GUIDELINES
The battle's official occurrence for purposes of story line will be March 16th - 18th, which is the approximate time we plan on things wrapping up, hopefully.
During the event no threads can be started for the aftermath, even if you choose not to participate in the event itself.
Threads can be started that take place before the battle.
Threads for the event should take priority to all others while it is going on, and many will be running concurrently.
All characters should come out of this battle injured, although the degree of injury will be up to the players themselves. If you so wish, you may even kill your character (but speak to an admin first, please).
You will have three days to post once its your turn in a given thread. If you miss two posts, your character may receive a more serious injury that will disqualify them from further phases. This is simply so we can keep things moving.
Now for the fun part! Please pay close attention to the eligibility for each phase, as not all characters can be in them. Sign-ups close January 18th.
The eligibility and more thorough explanations are listed below. Your character may be listed multiple places in each phase, however please only pick one place each phase for them to be. PHASE 1: Chitauri attack the West Coast.
PHASE 4: The Regroup. Chitauri fall back, leaving devastation behind. This phase will be rather free-form. Some heroes will no longer be capable of fighting at this point.
Location: New York City Eligible: Those in New York for Phase 3.
Location: Washington, DC Eligible: Those in DC for Phase 3.
PHASE 5: Thanos attacks again with the biggest numbers yet. Villains join battle as some heroes will be too injured. Svartalfar must pick their side.
Location: New York City Eligible: Anyone that participated in Phase 4 and is uninjured enough to take part in Phase 5, @barney , @daken , @ink , @elvira , Felicia Hardy , @naz , @nessa , @doctordoom , Z inactive aidenfelidae , @sofia

PHASE 6: The end of the battle. This phase revolves around a pivotal plot thread that forces Phase 5 threads into retreat; it is the only new thread this phase.
PHASE 7: The clean-up. This phase will be rather free-form.

To sign-up, use the form below. If your character becomes too injured to participate in battle further at some point, please make note of this. While this can be decided at a later point, it will be nice for the admins to know in advance if you plan to injure your character to easier make the groups for threads. Remember that Phase 6 will take place within your Phase 5 threads.
