Peggy Carter!
Lux's posts are all wonderful to read. She has done a wonderful job of grasping the new universe and incorporating Peggy into it.

Peter Parker!
It's good to see Spidey back on the site. Watching him deal with the universe shift in his own snarky way has been nothing short of entertaining.

Eight O'Clock on the Dot!
El and Lux are making magic in this thread. Straight up fireworks, and the way they've played with drawing out the reveal is top class.
Carol laughed at the soldier's complaint. "I can't keep letting you hog all the fun here now, can I?" The blood coming from his arm wasn't a great sign either. She'd seen her share of injuries - and damn if Steve didn't seem to take more than his share lately. Kept ending up in the hospital, she really did not envy him that. And she knew the team couldn't afford to lose him. Even having him sidelined was going to be a problem... but that was an issue for later.
Down on the ground, she gave Nat a brief wave, then turned to punch a Chitauri clean across the street. She blasted another pair, keeping the bolts light - she was fighting light-headedness, and as much energy as she'd just taken in and then expended, her whole body still hurt like hell. She didn't want to go pushing it too far and end up unconscious again... team couldn't afford that, and neither could she. Had to stay on her feet - or in the air - and kicking ass. Otherwise... hell, she didn't even know.
"Next time we see Thor or Banner, remind me to tell them they suck for missing this party." the Major deadpanned, though she smirked a bit at the wordplay between the others on the team. Well, this was the job she'd wanted. These were the people she'd wanted it with. No regrets.
At Clint's request for a lift, Carol kicked herself up into the air, moving to snag him and lift him up the twenty yards or so to his chosen point, where she set him down before taking the moment to survey the damages herself. "I'm starting to feel like the eagle from Lord of the Rings." she added, then she swore again under her breath at the Leviathan she saw making its way through the streets toward them.
She didn't know how much ammo Stark had left, but she didn't think she could tackle another one, and she was sure she couldn't cook it like that last one. So they were going to have to find another... hey, wait a minute...
"Tony - you think you can get that thing under that tower over there?" she shouted, pointing and giving Iron Man a moment to catch her drift - not that she had any doubt Tony would follow, or that he might have a better plan of her own. The Avengers weren't done here. They just had to make sure the aliens were, before they ended up that way after all.
Tony Stark --- shoot me a skype? I figured we could work something out and tag team this one.
Steve was looking roughed up and worse for the wear, but Tony could hug him he was so relieved to see the idiot. Despite the blood steadily dripping down his dominant arm. The sight made Tony want to kill things. Luckily, there were plenty of Chitauri nearby just ripe for that and he picked a few of them off with a bit more power than was absolutely necessary. "Call me Pinocchio," Tony quipped back, pretty certain that the grin on his face could be heard through his voice. At least the Captain was feeling well enough to get a joke or two in; that was a good sign.
"Situation is kill the remaining aliens," he said, motioning to the swath of attackers that were still bearing down on them, "Your arm gonna be okay to fight?" He wouldn't tell Steve to sit it out, but the tone of his voice probably betrayed that it was his preference at that point. Guy didn't need to screw up his limbs any more than he already had.
About to head for Clint as the man made a bid for a lift, Tony was a little relieved that Carol picked him up instead - he could be a bit of a squirmer. He focused back on the enemies around him, kicking off into the the air for a little bit of a vantage point as he blasted them away one by one, still with the extreme prejudice from earlier.
Then the last Leviathan made itself known.
Carol seemed to catch sight at the same time he did, and Tony was sure that it would take the both of them and a plan to take this thing down at current reserves. "Yeah, think I can get it to follow me over there. How much time do you need? Two minutes?" Shooting down a Chitlian, he swerved up and away, zooming over to catch the giant creature's attention. The things weren't the brightest members of the army, and it took a few flares to really catch its attention. "How merry of a chase should I lead it on?"

Natalia’s attention shifted briefly to her longtime partner as his voice filled the area the Avengers had chosen to regroup. It didn’t stay on him long, however. The blood seeping through Steve’s sleeve seemed considerably more pertinent than just how many more aliens were left. She’d fight through as many as necessary to keep both he and Steve safe. It was her debt; it was her life.
The Captain, a veteran soldier from a war torn era long since past, didn’t seem to have any issues creating a makeshift tourniquet for himself in order to at least slow the blood loss down. She fully intended to keep a close on him still, especially since Clint would probably shoot for a higher vantage point again sooner or later. He was good on the ground, but he always did prefer to be above the ground, the better to get a feel for the whole of a situation.
Her eyes drifted down to the shield as she passed it back to Steve and the glimmer of a smirk tugged at the right corner of her lips. “So far as most of the world is concerned,” she purred, not deigning to elaborate further. If he was curious, he could ask her later.
Or he could ask Tony.
Natalia didn’t bother responding to the Major’s wave with one of her own, instead opting for a simple nod. It was faster than lifting her arm, meaning Danvers could actually catch a glimpse of it before laying into the Chitauri attempting to creep up on her. “I mentioned it was Code Green in my text,” she drawled, sending a straight-leg kick into the chest of an approaching Chitauri. “I don’t think he gets very good signal in his lab, though. And until they get a cheap U.S. to Asgard long distance service, I think we’ll just have to hope someone out there notices and sends him back our way.”
There was no surprise on the Russian’s face as Clint begged for a lift up, but she did grin slightly at the Lord of the Rings reference. “Do we need to start calling you Gwaihir?” The Major’s foul words were echoed soon after, escaping from Natalia’s own lips in a different language. While Carol and Tony worked on figuring out a way to deal with the Leviathan on approach, Natalia finished with the pair of Chitauri she was busy man-handling before returning to Steve’s side.
“It’s like Triji all over again,” she murmured to the Captain, her eyes shifting down to his injured arm again. He was using the shield on his off-hand, which meant the damage was considerable, but he was still standing tall at least. Clint was doing a good job keeping the aliens on the outskirts from getting too much closer. There were still more than a few in the area for she and Steve to deal with, however. “Think you can keep up this time?” Shooting him a sidelong grin, she pulled out her batons and leapt into action as they sizzled to life.
Up above, she could hear Tony and Carol working together on the Leviathan. At Carol’s request, the billionaire had lured the large beast under a nearby tower. What happened to the sky whale next, Natalia wasn’t all too sure. Her attention had been focused solely on the man fighting at her back, and to the aliens attempting to take the pair out. Soon enough, the whoop of victory echoed out over the comms from Carol, and she would swear she heard Tony sigh from relief. That had to mean success.
As the last of the Chitlian died, Natalia too let out a quiet sigh. Her shoulders begged to be released from the tense posture they were in as she tried to remain strong, but she could feel herself beginning to give in as an eerie calm washed over the area. Steve was quick to fill in the quiet with orders to JARVIS, summoning the jet down to street level so that they could take stock of the situation, restock on weapons, and perhaps get that gash in Steve’s arm tended to.
Natalia slid into the pilot seat with ease while someone brought Clint down from his perch and the team loaded up. “Sounds like there’s more trouble by something the locals are calling ‘the troll’ a few miles out,” she called out to the group, pulling back gently as JARVIS relinquished control of the jet to her. “Hope the rest of you are as curious as I am…”
