[PTabbedContent][PTab=GENERAL INFORMATION]CHARACTER INFO: NAME: Amora Incantare ALIAS: The Enchantress, Mistress of Mischief, Amora Lorelei, Leena Moran, Helen Eve, Idun, Iduna, Mardoll, Freya, Gern, Christine Collins AGE: Ancient OCCUPATION: Sorceress MEMBER GROUP: Asgardians POWERS AND ABILITIES: Asgardian by birth, Amora has been blessed with the aspects all Asgardians have: superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability/dense tissue, regenerative healing factor, superhuman longevity, agility and reflexes. Widely credited as the second most powerful magic user in the Nine Realms, Amora falls short only of Karnilla, the queen of Nornheim and her former teacher. Whether she is more powerful than users from other realms such as Midgard remains to be seen but on Asgard, it is certainly true. Amora draws her magical abilities from two specific sources. Firstly, Amora can draw upon and utilize the magical energy of Asgard itself. By harnessing the energy around her, she can channel it through herself to create magic, acting as a sort of tuning fork. When using the ambient magical energy, her powers project an aura of green in its manifestation. Because the magical energy of Asgard is not chaotic in origin, it is relatively safe for her to use this in her spell-casting. The second source that Amora draws her magic from is her knowledge of spells and enchantments. While nearly all of this has been begotten through deceit or seduction, Amora takes every opportunity to either perfect the things he has learned and/or take them from others that she meets. Amora uses a variety of casting methods when using these, although her favorite is to speak them aloud, she can also create magic by using runes or writing them down through magical medium. These spells and enchantments are somewhat riskier than using the energy around her, as the challenge lies not so much in the difficulty but in the newness of them. Older spells in use for longer will prove to be easier to cast than newer ones. The effects that Amora can harness are many and varied but popular ones that she has used include generating physical effects like concussive blasts, altering her appearance, altering her physical form to take on the form of others, teleportation of herself and others, illusion-casting, paralysis of others, deflection of matter and energy and converting elements from one form to another [transmutation]. Amora also likes to enchant objects with spells or effects, allowing items to do things such as create money, grant wishes and so on. One area in which Amora places much stock and practice in is the enhancement of her natural beauty and allure so that men are overwhelmed with desire for her. She has enchanted her lips so that a single kiss is sufficient to make virtually any man a slave to her will for about a week. Subsequent kisses enable her to enthrall someone's will indefinitely. This can be thwarted, however, by people with greater willpower or mental abilities and has been known to fail in the past in one or two cases. While this is rare, it can happen in exceptional circumstances. Her enthrallment abilities also can be negated by being exposed at the same time to the seduction abilities of her sister Lorelei, as they seem to cancel each other out. Because Amora’s magic is derived from Asgardian origins and magical lore, she is dependent on it for her power. The longer she spends away in other realms, the harder it is for her to access her magic and the weaker it will be when manifested. Without returning to her home realm, she will eventually lose access to her magic, which will remain blocked until she sets foot on Asgard again. She also has trouble using enchantments should both her hands be bound and her mouth blocked or gagged. PLAYBY: Amanda Seyfrid OOC INFO: PLAYER NAME: Cheshire AGE: 30 GENDER: Female TIMEZONE: GMT+10 OTHER CHARACTERS: Yekaterina Fedorchenka [PTab=PERSONNEL ASSESSMENT]PERSONALITY ASSESSMENT: LIKES: Power: Amora wants power, she likes power and she does not like giving up said power. While she already has a small power base at her disposal and is quite happy at present, the desire to gain more power and to consolidate her dominion at the expense of others will always be in the back of her mind. Power plays and intrigue flow through her veins and most, if not all of her actions, are about power. She will fight tooth and nail to keep what power she has and woe betide the person who tries to wrestle it from her grasp. Emotions: Amora loves seeing the havoc that emotions wreak on other beings, especially love and lust. Being one who uses emotions to do her work and further her own agendas, she views all emotions as powerful tools to aid her. While she recognises that there is such a thing as true love, she considers all emotions fascinating, especially in the human realm. Not so much for what they are but for what they can accomplish and what they can bring her. Herself: Amora’s true love with always be split between power and herself. Vain and capricious, she views herself as a Queen and knows that she is just as powerful as any of the other Asgardians, if not more so. With her magical ability, her age and experience, her powers of sexuality and her machinations behind the scenes, she is utterly self-confident and just that much more dangerous. Her only true and loyal allegiance is to herself. Magic: What sort of an enchantress would Amora be if she did not love what she can do and what she is known for? Her sorcery is almost like a drug to her, every spell cast or every enchantment woven bringing her unbridled pleasure. When the energy of magic flows through her veins, it is like being on fire. The Environment: Amora does have a weakness for the natural world, stemming back from the earliest happy memories of her childhood. Vast pine forests, sparkling rivers, huge mountains are all things she has a fondness for. She has been known to stop and pick flowers and keep them around her in her audience hall and strangely, for someone of Asgard, she has a true love of snow and ice. DISLIKES: Lorelei: While Amora all but raised her little sister from her babyhood, the two sisters now have a complicated relationship. She sees the red-headed Lorelei as a threat to not only her power but her many plans and plots. She also feels angry at her sister because being the elder caused her to grow up far too quickly and shoulder all the responsibility. While she will never truly hate her sister, they should be kept apart. Odin and his line: Some of the reasoning may be jealousy but Amora has little, if any love for Odin and his family. The idea that she owes him anything rankles her and still does, most of her energy spent on causing him and his family pain or discomfort. To her mind he has no care for anyone that does not follow him blindly and there is a real thread of fear inside her that he may one day destroy her. This hatred of Odin is also directed towards his sons and wife. Karnilla: Once her teacher and mistress, Amora and Karnilla are not on good speaking terms. Amora left Nornheim before she could learn everything Karnilla knew and there are a number of whispered rumours as to why. Most prevalent being that the Queen of the Norns views her as a threat, which could be true. Either way, there is certainly a grudge between the two sorceresses. Failure: Amora does not like to fail in anything, especially when it is important. She hates failure both in herself and others and will punish anyone around her for even the slightest hint of failure, often more severe than the actual act itself. She also hates failure in herself and will go to extraordinarily long lengths to make sure that she always has a backup plan or twenty in place. Thanos: Amora, due to her scryings and magics, has seen Thanos in her divining glass. She dislikes what she sees, possibly more than she dislikes Odin. Given the chance, she might certainly join with an enemy against Thanos should the incentive be there. STRENGTHS: Magic: Amora is known as the second most powerful magic user in all of the Nine Realms, second only to Karnilla of Nornheim, for good reason. Magic has been something that she has always had, since childhood, and something that she has always worked towards being the best at. While there is a good dose of natural talent in there, most of her power has been due to either deceiving people into giving her knowledge or seducing it out of them. Because of this, she has gained immense skill and knowledge of magic. People truly fear her because of these, especially when combined with her spiteful temper. Seduction: Seduction is second nature to Amora, even more so than with her little sister. Her magical abilities play into this, augmenting her naturally seductive abilities to enthral any man who come into contact with her lips. A single kiss can enthral a person for up to a week and can be made permanent if more kisses are applied. Amora is not just an incredibly skilled seductress solely because of her magic, however. Over the many years, she has focused on learning as much as she can about hoe to seduce others and has a strong repertoire to draw on when needed. Manipulation: Amora is a master level manipulator, constantly scheming to come out the best in every situation she could find herself in, an Asgardian version of a spider spinning her webs. One of her more common tricks is to make it seem like she is helping others, offering a boon or a favour seemingly free of conditions but using what she learns in the process to enmesh the victim in her plans or gaining leverage over them for use later. The more she knows about a person, the easier it is for her to manipulate, especially those who are weak-willed or otherwise unfamiliar with her. She is constantly observing others, always with a ready excuse or softly spoken word of comfort. Far-sightedness: Amora, like Loki, has a far reaching mind and can easily recognise the plans of others behind their actions. She always has contingencies, even contingencies for her contingencies. WEAKNESSES: Temper : While Amora is patient, manipulative and always prepared, she does have a temper which can be easily provoked under the right conditions. While it usually manifests as a form of spite, Amora can also become genuinely angry. While under the influence of anger she will often throw things, scream at the person in front of her or go into a sulk. A notable trigger for her anger is her sister but it can also be failing at something or having a plan not turn out how she wanted. Physicality: Compared to a human, Amora is incredibly strong but when compared against her own kind, she is not at all exceptional physically. While her magics provide her some protection or escape, when in a physical fight, Amora is as a pretty big disadvantage. She has some knowledge of fighting but generally prefers to stay away from physical situations unless she cannot avoid it. Other Realms: Amora’s magic is derived from Asgard and as such, extended times away without returning leave her vulnerable. The longer she spends away in other realms, the harder it is for her to access her magic and the weaker it will be when manifested. Without returning to her home realm, she will eventually lose access to her magic, which will remain blocked until she sets foot on Asgard again. Family: The two sisters hate each other for very good reasons and generally can’t be in the same room for more than a few minutes but if something genuinely happened to Lorelei, Amora would go to incredible lengths to save her sister. Blood runs thicker than water, after all, and the two are the only ones each other ever had. They do love each other, deep deep down in their core. GOALS: Amora’s primary goal is power, both gaining it and keeping it. She also would like to become the most powerful sorceress in the Nine Realms, surpassing Karnilla finally. Finally, she wishes to exact revenge on Odin for the slights she believes he rendered her, as well as to ensure that he and his line will never destroy her. FEARS: Amora fears losing her power in some way, losing her magical abilities especially terrifies her. She also fears that she might not be as powerful or as fearsome as she thinks she is, especially because much of her magical might comes from stolen or deceitfully obtained magic. Finally, she fears that if Ragnarok does come and nobody can stop it, that she will be destroyed along with everything she knows and loves. OVERALL PERSONALITY: Amora is not the nicest Asgardian in existence. While others such as Thor and Baldr have fought for the protection of the Nine Realms and even Loki has one or two redeemable episodes in his past, Amora has no such desire or want to be ‘good.’ She is known throughout the Nine Realms as a dangerous, seductive sorceress whose eye is firmly planted on what best benefits herself and herself alone. Why should she sacrifice herself and her magics for a ruling house that has never done anything to benefit her and her own ilk? Amora’s not fond of Odin or his family line so you’ll never find her turning out to save Asgard from invasion unless it suits herself or benefits her end games somehow. Known throughout the Nine Realms for her magical gifts [many of them ill-begotten through seduction or outright theft], Amora is a mercenary sorceress; providing spells and enchantments for those with the right money or things that she wants. She always has an eye on the wider prize, laying plans and intrigues behind every action. A popular image is of Amora laying on a couch drinking wine and plotting as she looks into a magical mirror, she is that kind of a woman. Hedonistic to the extreme, Amora has nobody like her in the Nine Realms except her sister Lorelei and they do NOT get along. They are nearly always at each other’s throats, intriguing and fighting, but sometimes they will band together against a common foe. Amora rules her power base with a jewelled but hard fist, needing to crave no indulgences or honour no requests unless it suits her or amuses her enough to agree. Even if you do manage to succeed in begging a boon from The Enchantress and receive a magic item or spell created by her, Amora’s playful spite can often be found in her creations and there is no way of knowing if something bad will happen to you or not. She has often used her items to play tricks on the buyer or if she is in a particularly bad mood, had it backfire on them. This is highly amusing to her, a form of entertainment. Amora also possesses a fearsome temper when aroused, thinking nothing of turning those who displease or anger her into inanimate objects or animals that she scatters to the ends of the Realms. While she may be dangerous, cruel, tempestuous, spoiled, laconic and spiteful, Amora does have a practical side and will sometimes aid Asgard against a common foe. She has known the prophecies of Ragnarok for a long time and sees a day when her magic may die. By using this as leverage, successful people might get her to do something good to avoid that fate. Mostly only if something benefits her, of course, but even seductresses can have a good speck in their hearts. Amora also enjoys a practical joke, making mockery at those who fall for them with a little more spite than is acceptable though. She loves to mock, her silvery voice pealing through her caverns in musical notes of scorn and disdain. Pretty things also are enjoyed, often accepted as payment for a job or creation of a spell. Amora, for all her faults, loves life. While she is unrepentant should somebody die as a result of her actions, she will never go out of her way to actively kill someone. She also finds pleasure in small things, such as an expanse of flowers blooming among snow, cute baby animals or a piece of well played music. She is also, by nature, an optimistic person and can rarely be seen as depressive. There is far too much enjoyment in the world to be down, she believes. Even when all her plans have failed, she will continue to believe that there is something positive about the experience. HISTORICAL OVERVIEW: BIRTHPLACE: Asgard RESIDENCE: Asgard, outside the main city walls PARENTS: Unknown SIBLINGS: Lorelei of Asgard, sister IMPORTANT RELATIVES: None IMPORTANT PERSON: Amora has no special someone at the moment. They change all the time anyway. OVERALL HISTORY: The day that Amora came into the world was one of the most potent of days on the Asgardian calendar, magically speaking. While it may have been a day of great importance, the child born on that day was not, at least not at first. Her parents were neither important in rank or in wealth, two souls that eventually disappeared from Asgard. Nobody knows where they are now, if they are even alive. Safe to say though that they were deemed so insignificant that they never even bestowed a father name on their two children – Amora and Lorelei, born a few years apart. From an early age, Amora shouldered the responsibility of being both a parent and a sibling to her sister. She would watch her sister play in the fields and valleys of Asgard from afar, using her burgeoning magical skills to make sure that her sister remained safe. By providing a home life that was relatively stable, the two grew up with only each other for company. There were friends, sure, but no adult to make sure that they were fed or sheltered. The stress of being sole provider was lessened as Amora grew, however, because of her magical abilities. Naturally gifted, she enrolled herself in the Asgardian schools of magic because she felt that she was more than just skilled at casting glamours or small spells. She believed that there was something better out there and that magic could achieve what she and her sister never had in their normal life; power. The power to affect real change, to somehow better themselves and their station, to become important in the eyes of the Asgardians who ruled the land. She signed her sister up too, recognising the same spark in her that she already had. The reality when they started to learn was much different to what she had expected, however. It was…boring, for lack of a better word. Amora found that there was no challenge in the lessons they were learning, that she already knew the things the inept masters were trying to teach their charges. While the other pupils were content learning how to heal mystical cuts or how to float pencils, Amora wanted more. Pestering her tutors for more knowledge, Amora soaked up every bit of magical knowledge she could get from them but still she wasn’t content. It became an obsession for her, everything else falling by the wayside, including her little sister. They argued constantly, using magic to try and fight their battles. When Amora, fed up with her sisters attempts to get her away from the obsessions she had fallen prey to almost killed her with magic, she realised too late what she had become and fled their home. As she lurked outside the borders of Asgard, she found that her desire for magic had led her to the realm of the Norns and their queen, Karnilla. Known throughout the nine realms as the most powerful magic user in existence, the queen was someone that also encouraged people learn from her. Knowing the power that lay behind the doors of the Nornheim realm, Amora sought passage through it and asked Karnilla to take her on as an apprentice. Sensing something in her, she consented and Amora entered her service. It would be years before Amora would leave Nornheim and when she did, she was a far cry from the beleaguered child she had been. Now fully grown, she was blessed with a beauty that dwarfed nearly all around her and magical abilities that dwarfed any other user save for her now former teacher. Accounts differ as to why Amora left her service; perhaps Karnilla thought her a threat or perhaps she had grown too wilful and disobedient. Whatever the reason, she reached Asgard with the same desire for power and magic still as fervent as ever. Her personality was now different as well; where Amora had once been a loving sister and dutiful child, she was now the Enchantress. A woman with little regard for the feelings of others, a scathing and acid-laced tongue, a spitefulness to her personality and a need to accumulate power. Recognising that she needed her own little kingdom but that she was still not at her most powerful, the sorceress set about taking power from others by seducing them. By the end of her quest, she had slept with pretty much every other magic user in the Nine Realms, save for Midgard. Midgard was uninteresting and bleak, although she has once or twice stepped down to that small realm and become worshipped as a goddess and sorceress. But on the whole, it was boring and so she concentrated her efforts on Asgard, carving out her own little realm within the Asgardian plane and doling out her own brand of rule within the secure domains of her own little Kingdom. While she was different now, she hadn’t forgotten her little sister and invited Lorelei to co-rule with her in their own little sanctuary. While it was a success, at first, the two sisters soon drifted apart. Lorelei blamed Amora for abandoning her to go and live with the Norns while Amora grew increasingly frustrated with Lorelei’s lack of seriousness and her petty vendettas against Odin. Throwing her out, the two became sworn enemies and even now enjoy a very tenuous relationship. Odin All-Father, however, was more of a threat than her little sister. Shortly after carving out her little realm, she was called to Asgards capital and asked to swear fealty to the line of Odin. Throwing the words back in his face, Amora departed, insulted by the idea that she had to answer to anyone, least of all Odin Bor-Son. The feelings rankled as she sat on her throne and brooded, deciding eventually to undermine that so called ‘All-Father’. While she would never confront him directly, there were more ways to accomplish her goal. She held nothing but scorn for the whole Asgard royal line, believing that Odin had neither the power nor desire to act against her. She still holds that belief to this day. To that end, she has spent most of her time manipulating events and forming alliances with other ‘hostile’ beings against Odin and his family. However, the birth of the children and grandchildren of Odin was a turning point, the efforts of the All-Father to control the prophecies of Ragnarok stirring her long-held scorn into outright hatred. Still, it will affect all of them so Amora has been planning and plotting. Some of these plans have led her attention to Midgard, a place she had found boring long ago but now might hold some use after all.
