El!
El has been with the site for nearly two years now and has continued to prove her value. Currently, she is heading up our site event, Battle for Liberterram, on top of keeping up with her own personal plots.
CHARACTER
SPOTLIGHT
Peggy Carter!
Lux's posts are all wonderful to read. She has done a wonderful job of grasping the new universe and incorporating Peggy into it.
CHARACTER
SPOTLIGHT
Peter Parker!
It's good to see Spidey back on the site. Watching him deal with the universe shift in his own snarky way has been nothing short of entertaining.
THREAD
SPOTLIGHT
Eight O'Clock on the Dot!
El and Lux are making magic in this thread. Straight up fireworks, and the way they've played with drawing out the reveal is top class.
Hey, got a question about ProBoards or something? Ask Erin and she will explain things. Starting with these being the two PB-Only Template sites that she has used:
Stay tuned for the next post in which I will explain the beauty of the PB Global account which will make the 'members-only' policy of getting templates automatically easier.
Hello everyone! So, to start with; ProBoards has a feature called the ProBoards Global account. This means that you can sign up for multiple accounts on the same forum or accounts across multiple forums all using the same 'Global' account, so that every subsequent sign-up all you have to do is come up with a forum or account-specific username and nothing else!
So, to start with, when you're on ME you'll see this menu in the bottom, right-hand corner:
These three buttons are Switch Account, Switch Forum, and Account Settings. I shall explain how awesome these are.
Switch Account
So, this is the screen that I get when I click on 'Switch Account'. As you can see, it lists all my accounts on this specific forum, in addition to my global logout at the top. The important link here is the 'Create a new account on this forum.' link below the pictures of all my accounts. Upon clicking this link, all you have to do is enter a new account name and bam! A new character account linked to your original! Easy-peasy.

So, this is the forum dashboard. As you can see it's listing out notifications and updates I have on each account. However...
It will also list out these details for every ProBoards forum you are a member of. Crazy, right? Clicking on these links in the dashboard will automatically take you to that forum, logged in and everything. Now, how do you take advantage of this?
While you're logged in to your Global account (which if you're logged in to Mortal Ends, you will be), you can go to any forum. Say, Adoxography.
When you hit their Register link...
All you have to do, much like when registering a new account here on ME, is enter the username you want. This makes registering for the two resource sites mentioned above incredibly easy, and getting to them to search for templates as easy as clicking that little Switch Forum button in the corner!

As you can see, you can edit a lot of stuff, including which accounts are linked to your global, from here. Its incredibly useful to have access to this, so if you ever need to work with any of these things (password, security, linking, other member things), now you know where to come!
As a last note, I do highly recommend getting an account on ProBoards Support if you ever need assistance with things I can't help you with - it's easy, as you've seen above. They do have some templates and the like there as well, but mostly its more useful from an admin/moderator perspective or if you have any questions about ProBoards features as a whole, not things specific to this forum.

So you want to know how to message by Member Group or Affiliation?
Well look no further! First, let's create a new message.
This is the message composition screen that you're all familiar with. See that gear in the corner circled in red? We're gonna click that.
Now you should be seeing that drop-down menu on the right. Hover over "Send to Groups" to get the menu on the left. Once here, click "Send Together". This will ensure that everyone in the group will be added to the same conversation thread so you can all talk together!
Great! The top of your message composition should now have that link I've circled in red instead of the member selector you normally see. Click it!
Oooo, look! A pop-up! Here you can check whichever groups you want this message to go to. Then click "Done", circled in red.
And now my message, once I compose it, will be sent to every character that is a member of the "Superhumans" group. This will make group plotting so much easier, if you have a plan for all members of a singular group.

So you want to join a new Member Group/Affiliation?
Well, let's start by going to your profile. In this case, I'm on my Clint account.
Navigate to the groups tab at the top of the page.
You will see a list of all the groups you're in at the top, and below all the other groups, starting with the display groups. Now, say Clint feels left out and wants to join the Superhuman group (underlined). He can click on that "Request to Join" button that has the arrows pointing to it to send that request.
This request will get sent to the leader of the group. Most group leaders are Staff accounts, however some members have taken on the responsibility of leading some Affiliation groups. When someone sends a request to join this group, you'll receive a Notification in your Notification tab.
Now I'm on my Jessica Drew account (she's one of the leaders for the Superhuman group) and have just received a notification that Clint wants to join this group. If I click on the group name under the red arrow I'll be taken to the Control Panel for the group.
Here I can accept or reject the request. To accept it just click that button and you're done! However, in this case I need to reject it, as Clint is not a Superhuman. Click the button...
And a pop-up! Here you can personalize a message to send to the account telling them why they've been rejected. In this case... well, duh. Click the button and you're done!
