Guthrie Family Reunion!

I’d really like to have more Guthries on site, since currently Jay is all alone. So sad. He needs his siblings to come cheer him up! Besides, it’d be good to get some family cheese and drama with Jay going. Read Jay’s profile here. Mostly I really want Canonball, Husk and/or Aero, but any of the Guthries would be welcome!

THE GUTHRIE CLAN

Samuel ‘Sam’ Guthrie

aka Cannonball. Flight Professor at Xavier Institute, 33.

Sam is an all around good guy, and he’s the oldest and most well known of the Guthries. He’s sweet, very intelligent, a little naïve, but his heart is always in the right place. He’s been hotheaded in his youth, but adulthood seems to have tempered him. Good natured and up for a laugh, Sam is good at including everyone and helping people through tough times, since he had to do it himself. He has a decent relationship with Jay, but there are issues between them. Jay somewhat resents his older brother for leaving the burden of caring for the family on his shoulders, but he does still admire and look up to his older brother. I imagine they got into a lot of trouble as kids together, and had a normal brotherly relationship. Suggested Play-By: Ryan Kwanten

Paige Guthrie

aka Husk. Professor at Xavier Institute, 30.

Paige is the most troubled of the Guthrie children, aside from her younger sister Joelle. Paige desperately tries to rid herself of the ‘hick’ image, and has even taken speech classes to get rid of her accent. She is very fragile and easily hurt, and she struggles with her self image. Jay and her have the most strained relationship, due to her obsession in childhood leaving him, Melody and Jeb with most of the older sibling work, and leaving Jay with the bulk of it. She is a good person, just ironically the one of the family with the thinnest skin. She took her father’s death pretty hard as well, adding on extra trouble for the young mutant. At 30, she’s mostly overcome a lot of these, but she is still very insecure. Suggested Play-By: Marloes Horst, Sienna Miller

Melody Guthrie

aka Aero. Graduate of Xavier Institute, 24.

Melody is the wild child of the Guthrie clan, the one most willing to take risks and the most mischievous one of the the trio (Jay, Jeb and Melody). Growing up on farm and with several older and younger brothers, Melody is no stranger to stupid stunts pulled primarily by boys, nor is she squeamish. She is a free spirit, and her mutant power is simply flight. She is the fastest and able to reach the most height out of the flying siblings as well. The only other singer of the family, Melody has now graduated from the Institute. What she is doing now is anyone’s guess. Her relationship with Jay is very good; She is an avid fan of his band and has attended several concerts. They are very close and he has the best relationship with her. Jebediah ‘Jeb’ Guthrie

23, the last mutant.

Jeb doesn’t have a codename and aside from his powers, and even those are vague. I looked them up again and the closest I can come to is that his power is energy/plasma manipulation. Feel free to make up your own codename for him. Jeb is the rebel sibling and is prone to being hotheaded and leaping before he looks. His relationship with Jay is good, as he is the only other mutant to never attend the Xavier Institute. What he is doing is entirely up to you, but I do think he and Jay get along. His best friend/foster brother is Ray Jr. Suggested Play-By: Finn Wittrock

Elizabeth Guthrie

22, Civilian

Elizabeth and the rest of the civilian Guthries from here on out are not given a lot to work with. With what I have been given, I assume Elizabeth is the ‘smart’ one of the Guthires i.e. She is the only one of them who is pursuing a college degree at the moment. Or perhaps is the most ambitious with her education. She is the one with the most disapproval of Jay and his decision to drop out of High School even now. Joelle ‘Jo’ Guthrie

20, Civilian

Joelle is very young and having a hard time coming into her own. Like her older sister Paige, Joelle is fragile and insecure and wants to feel like she is special and unique, like her mutant siblings. She is soft-spoken, though and struggles to find herself heard in and outside of her family dynamics. She is a good person, but can be lead astray by someone promising those feelings. Again, though this is just based off what I’ve had to work with. She’s entirely up for any interpretation. Suggested Play-By: Carly Rae Jepsen, Mellisa/Melissa Clarke

Lewis Guthrie

19, Civilian

Lewis is pretty much a blank slate; aside from being somewhat musically talented like Jay and Melody, not much is said about him. That being stated, my idea is that Lewis is very much like his sister Joelle; he has a more reserved personality and doesn’t stand out. Jay and him have a decent relationship, but otherwise feel free to make him whatever you like. Suggested Play-By: Logan Lerman

Cecelia ‘Cissie’ and Lillian ‘Lily’ Guthrie

The Twins; 18, Civilian/s

The twins and the babies of the Guthire family. The youngest pair at eighteen years of age, both girls are often subjected to the twin treatment; they are treated as a pair and the same when they are not and it is very frustrating. As twins, they do have some similarities, but that isn’t the entire identity of both girls. Obviously, you can have either one be whatever you like. Currently, they are looking forward to high school graduation and then college. Jay has a very parental relationship with them, as they are the only Guthrie children to have near no memory of their father, and Jay being the oldest brother who stayed home the longest put him in that position. They are used to having to share and to have to deal with hand me downs, considering that they were the youngest. Suggested Play-Bys: Rebecca ‘Becky’ and Camilla ‘Milly’ Rosso (Milly Pictured)

Raymond "Ray" Jr.: 23-24. The foster/adopted brother of the Guthrie clan; His father had been dating Lucinda, and it seemed like things were getting serious. Then his father got caught in a crossfire between the Cabots and the Guthries. Though his father's murderer was sent to prison, Ray had nowhere to go and found himself taken in by Lucinda. His BFF Bro is Jeb, and I imagine their personalities are a little similar.

Relationship with Jay: Jay and Ray don't have much interaction in the comic, but I imagine Jay treats him like any other younger sibling, though some of the in-jokes and mannerisms he has with the rest of the family, he hasn't yet developed with Ray. I'd say it's decent, since Jay is also willing to help Ray out whenever its needed
