[PTabbedContent][PTab=GENERAL INFORMATION] CHARACTER INFO: NAME: Gamora Zen-Whoberi Titansdottir ALIAS: The Deadliest Woman in the Galaxy, Green Whore, Daughter of Thanos AGE: Twenty-five Zen-Whoberi years, translates into thirty Terra years. OCCUPATION: Guardian of the Galaxy MEMBER GROUP: Superhuman POWERS AND ABILITIES: Zen Whoberi Physiology: In comparison to humans, her speed, endurance, strength, and general health is superior. While not at the same level as Asgardian's physiology, her overall condition was optimal for training and enhancements, one of the reasons Thanos targeted the species in the first place as they could have proven adequate foes against him. Cybernetic Implants: Over the years, Gamora's fatal mistakes resulted in Thanos "upgrading" her further. The implants in her heart and lungs grant her a cardiovascular system that allows her to run a marathon without feeling winded or fatigued. Those under her skin heightens her healing speed, along with providing extra protection to the elements. Her optical implants give her superior vision, far better than the 20/20 "perfect" vision. There are others, such as those located in her bones and muscles to enhance her general performance. Stats after biomodifications: Top speed - 33mph. Greatest weight lifted - 1000lbs. Gamora can fight with someone on her skill level, constantly, for half an hour before she begins to feel muscle fatigue. Usually, it's the burn in her muscles, and not her lungs, that comes first, as her endurance is better than her strength, relative to somebody such as Drax. Her skin is roughly one and a half the resilience of a human's, and she is able to heal something such as a minor cut in a few hours. Master Assassin: The years under Thanos' strict training regime forged her into the perfect predator. She was constantly pitted against her siblings, one of the more prominent figures being Nebula, as he weeded out the weak. As a result, Gamora picked up the fighting styles of her siblings and other foes across the galaxy, both armed and unarmed, and became a fearsome opponent against any trained fighter. PLAYBY: Zoe Saldana OOC INFO: PLAYER NAME: Bri AGE: Twenty-one GENDER: Female TIMEZONE: Central US (-6GMT I believe?) OTHER CHARACTERS: N/A [/PTab][PTab=PERSONNEL ASSESSMENT] PERSONALITY ASSESSMENT: LIKES: Her friends: Some people take their companions for granted, but everyday Gamora mentally acknowledges how lucky she is to have the Guardians as her friends. While their beginnings were rocky and convoluted, they were able to pull their differences together to defeat Ronan. She equates them to her redemption, after years of following Thanos' orders. Peaceful arrangements: Yes, she had grown up to fight and defend herself, but after years of relentless training, it's a relief when Gamora can avoid a physical altercation. Kevin Bacon: Or rather, she enjoys the idea of him. From what Peter has told her, he's a courageous figure, adored by many Terrans for both his dance moves and acts of heroism. Needless to say, she's eager to hear about Kevin Bacon from other Terrans. The Nova Corp: Even if they had captured her and the other Guardians, and some would be quick to point out their flaws, Gamora appreciates the Nova Corp and their mission. Coffee: Because yes, even places other than Earth have coffee. It probably didn't surprise any of her teammates to learn she prefers it black. DISLIKES: Infinity stones: After learning of their destructive properties from the Collector, Gamora is set on making sure they are out of the hands of anyone who wants to use them for evil. She hasn't found a way they could be wielded for good, so she would just rather they go away all together. The "dog eat dog" philosophy: It was something that Thanos stressed - if her or any of her siblings were not strong enough, those that were would dispose of them. Gamora is guilty of "abiding" by this concept, if only to survive, but she has come to the conclusion that the strong should help the weak become, and not hurt them. Power hunger: She has plenty of experience dealing with two power hungry individuals, and many other spread across the galaxy. Gamora knows it only leads to bad people hurting good people. Unsanitary habits: Though she might be used to getting blood splattered all over her clothes and herself, along with other bodily fluids, Gamora likes to keep herself clean and orderly. It shows in both her combat style, with precise, refined movements, and her "domestic" side on the Milano. It's common knowledge that Gamora's living space is the neatest out of all of theirs. People calling Thanos her "father": The only way he had ever shown her fatherly affection was when she had pleased him. Every other instance with him was filled with sternness, hostility, and often violence the few times she had went against him or disappointed him. She does begrudgingly acknowledge his role in raising her. STRENGTHS: Seduction: Gamora hasn't been dubbed a "Green Whore" by Drax and others for nothing. She has used it to her advantage since she finished puberty. She doesn't approve of scum-bag males trying to cozy up to her, and will sometimes use it to weed out the grotesque ones, if only to teach them a lesson. Armed and unarmed combat: She received a mixture of practice with both a weapon and melee combat. Her current weapon of choice is her retractable blade, something she has used for a little over a year now, and what she is most skilled at. Knowledge of the galaxy: Being a galaxy-class killer, she has traveled to countless of planets and civilizations, and learned their cultures. Of course, one of the few she has not visited is the one her and the Guardians will be visiting for an indefinite period of time. WEAKNESSES: Nebula: Fighting her sister on the Dark Aster had been difficult, and she was barely able to hold her own without killing her. Even though Nebula seems deadset on beating and even killing her sister, Gamora wants her to join her side, which could fatally cloud her judgement in battle with Thanos' other daughter. Her connection to Thanos: That, plus her history, has made her a prime target for bounty hunters and hit-men all across the galaxy. Seldom can she relax and let her guard down. Then again, she had it engrained in her mind that thinking she was not in trouble was the number one way of finding it. Lack of trust: She's learning to fix this. Gamora has spoken to some of her companions about her past, but still struggles to really mention anything other than her killing a lot of people under the name of Thanos. It's a mixture of her own insecurity, and the fact that most people would run screaming knowing a renowned assassin was standing in front of them. GOALS: Redemption: Gamora still struggles with the sins of her past. She would have done anything to impress Thanos and win his approval - to survive and she looks back on it with shame. Though she would not be the fighter she is without those years of experience, it gnaws at her almost constantly. Gamora has pledged to be a better person, and redeem herself in her own eyes, since it seems like her friends have mostly accepted her past wrongdoings. Retrieve the Infinity Stones: It's become one of the main missions for the Guardians after defeating Ronan on Xandar. Witnessing the stones first hand and barely containing the raw power of the Orb themselves, they all know that the stones have to be placed under proper protection to prevent another "Ronan incident." FEARS: Getting her friends in trouble: It's no secret that half of the galaxy hates Gamora for errors of her past. She knows that her friends can hold their own, but how long is it till someone comes along and catches them off guard? They've gotten lucky so far, and she doesn't know how long that'll last... Thanos catching her: Even though she is concerned for her friends' welfare with her connections and the people out to kill her, there is one deep, dark fear she has, and that is that Thanos will find her. Because he is not simply one to put someone down after the level of betrayal she accomplished - no, he would torture her until she begged for death, waiting until all of her loved ones were killed before he ever considered putting her out of her misery. There have been a few nights where she woke up in a cold sweat from her mind crafting scenarios of her capture, and she is sure there will be some to follow. OVERALL PERSONALITY: Gamora's mentality and attitude has made dramatic shifts over her lifetime. A once innocent, carefree Zen-Whoberian became a callous, ruthless daughter of Thanos. Now, where a woman who was hellbent on surviving, at any cost, once stood, now remains a woman trying to find herself. With the mad titan, she was a warrior, nothing more than Thanos weapon to which he did as he pleased. After all those years, its difficult for her to realize she is her own person who feels and thinks and can connect with other people. Her joining up with the Guardians, though they had been off to a turbulent start, was the first step in this transformation. She used to be stoic, and now finds herself fighting off a smile when Peter dances along to his music. She used to be indifferent, and now listens to Rocket's technical jabbering and Drax's wartales with interest. She used to be cold, and now melts when Groot waves at her as she walks by. Gamora is in a state of metamorphosis, as she retains some of her old traits - such as being extremely cautious in new places and with new people, and taking offense from little off-handed statements - but discovers new ones that remind her of her younger self. She still doesn't immediately trust anyone she meets, such as how their "fearless leader" can, though is trying to fix that with time. In some ways, however, she has not changed and probably will not in the future. Her tenacity is what had caught Thanos' eye. She'll fight to the very end, not giving up until there is no more breath in her lungs. She had pursued the Infinity Stone on Xandar until she was knocked unconscious, raced out into dangerous space until a necroblast took out her pod, and even helped to bear the weight of the infinity stone's immense power when she knew Peter couldn't contain it long enough. Gamora will fight for what she believes in until there is nothing left of her. HISTORICAL OVERVIEW: BIRTHPLACE: Zen-Whoberi, Silicon Star System, Milky Way Galaxy (est. population before Thanos attack ~3B) RESIDENCE: The Milano PARENTS: Father: Unknown (deceased) Mother: Unknown (deceased) SIBLINGS: Adoptive sister: Nebula, the woman she grew up, training and competing against for Thanos attention. Their relationship had always been rocky, but, due to the challenge Gamora and Nebula presented to one another, they reached the best understanding out of all of their siblings. IMPORTANT RELATIVES: Adoptive father: Thanos, the mad titan who crafted Gamora into the warrior she is today. Thanos ravaged her homeworld, and after witnessing the promising fight in Gamora, took her and adopted her as a "daughter," along with others who showed potential. She does not consider him anything like how a true father should be, but can't deny he had raised her for much longer than her biological dad had. IMPORTANT PERSON: ---- OVERALL HISTORY: The simplest way to have described the Zen-Whoberis was that they were a peaceful people. There were people sprinkled across the planet, with one major body of government ruling almost all. They were modestly advanced in technology and medicine, approximately where Terra is present day. Gamora was born and raised in the most populated city, and grew up as normally as one could. She showed a fire that was unlike most people her own age, though she managed to stay out of trouble. She was on track for a normal Zen-Whoberian life when her entire world came crashing down. Thanos' strike came quick and without warning. The Zen-Whoberis people saw a glimmer in the sky and in minutes, Chitauri swarmed their planet, killing everything in sight. It was a slaughter, and they were systematically taken out. Thanos was overseeing the destruction of the particular neighborhood Gamora grew up in. Gamora, wildly inexperienced in combat compared to the Chitauri, fought her heart out, even knocking out a few fearsome creatures off their flying vehicles with some well-timed swing of a tree branch. Her tenacity and powerful resolve caught the Titan's attention, which resulted in her capture and watching as her parents were executed right in front of her. Gamora was taken off of Zen-Whoberi in the midst of the slaughter, and to a place where other children and teenagers, ones Thanos had seen promise in, were being held. She quickly learned that to survive, she had to fight. She didn't have to hold back or bite her tongue like she did back home, but the girl found herself wishing she was back in those situations where she needed to. The other children were ruthless. Very few gave her any sort of consideration, and those that did were the first ones to get weeded out. Thanos pitted all of them against one another, in sick games that often resulted in the deaths of a few. Gamora's first kill was only in her second 'exercise,' when a boy just one year younger than her had come at her with a spear. She can vividly recall the tears streaming down his face as Thanos walked up behind her and put a proud hand on her shoulder, before he demanded he finish him off. For a few years when she was beginning to grow much quicker than she had as a child, Gamora found the pride and encouragement Thanos showed her thrilling. She eagerly awaited games, where she would easily outmatch at least one of his other adopted children. He would have her sit with him during meals if she pleased him enough, and have him regale her with tales of his past battles and wars he fought in, even learning bits and pieces of his past. In the middle of this phase of her life, she gained both an ally and an adversary - Nebula. The two girls challenged one another, Gamora can't recall when all the killing began to wear her down, but did fully acknowledge it after killing an old man who had information on a powerful stone Thanos was trying to acquire. The guilt began to weigh heavily on her shoulders, and with each innocent lost, she felt a growing mental dissonance with Thanos ideology and what she thinks is her own. Still, she showed the loyalty and icy chill of an established assassin, until the Orb had been located on the uninhabitable Morag. It was then she began to take great measures to ensure it would not fall into Ronan, Thanos' current ally and with whom she was stationed with, or the Titan's hands. She ended up getting lucky that Korath had lost the Orb to a rogue Ravager, but had no plans in letting him keeping it. After making sure it was her to search for it, she traveled to Xandar where this "Star-Lord" was visiting. Gamora had plans on making it a quick trip from Xandar back to her ship, where she would head to meet the man who would keep the Orb safe. Unfortunately, Peter Quill, along with one Rocket Raccoon and his trust Groot, had other plans. They ended up in a tussle, a massive misunderstanding with Peter and Gamora both wanting the orb, and Rocket and Groot wanting Peter for the bounty on his head. Their fight did not go unnoticed by the Nova Corp, who apprehended all four of them and sent them to the Kiln. She found her plan crumbling, as insiders who worked for Ronan ratted her out to them. That, plus the fact that nearly every inmate in the high-security prison wanted her head, made altering her plans much more difficult. It didn't help that she was nearly killed by a man named Drax, who had lost his family by the hands of Ronan. Her, Peter, and Rocket began to discuss a way out, when Groot had set off the alarm. In a surprising act of teamwork, they banded together to get out of the Kiln and sell the Orb which she agreed to split if they cooperated with one another. Drax the Destroyer joined their team, and before they knew it, they were flying away from the Kiln and to Knowhere. Their buyer resided in the center of Knowhere, where those who pick-pocketed and con-men reigned supreme. It was a scummy part of the universe, but with four billion units on the line, and a way of getting the Orb out of Ronan's hands and running away from Thanos, she could deal with it. Another fight broke out, this time between Rocket and Drax, causing Drax to march off and the four of them to meet the buyer, the Collector. IT was there that they learned what the Orb was, and after witnessing its power firsthand, Gamora had resolved to give it to the Nova Corp. They could handle it, and they could make sure it stayed out of the wrong hands. Peter, however, had other plans of "selling it to a really nice guy." They stepped outside just in time to witness Drax's battle stance at as a fleet of Kree, to which the three (sane) members of the group ran to a pod to escape. They managed to hold their own, until Gamora found herself cornered and forced to retreat out where the pods became vulnerable. She barely caught Peter's frantic words as she tried to convince Nebula to help her keep the Orb away from Ronan. Then, a blast struck her pod, launching her into the unforgiving vacuum of space. She could only recall bits and pieces as her body struggled to stay alive in the freezing emptiness. With sound unable to travel in space, she felt completely alone with each of her bodily functions slowly shutting down. It was only when a pressure around her torso and the sudden wave of oxygen that washed over her face did she feel she wasn't alone. She wasn't in this by herself. An eternity could have passed and she wouldn't have batted an eye, until there was something hard underneath her and a weight on top of her. The sound of desperate gasping surrounded her before she realized that it was Peter who saved her. Unfortunately, they had ended up in the custody of the Ravagers, who had a bone to pick with their ex-brother in arms. Long story short, they threw out a bunch of threats, Peter was able to use Gamora as a ringer, and they forged a deal to get the Orb back. They still had to deal with the fact that all of them were putting their lives on the line to save Xandar. With nothing to lose, the Guardians of the Galaxy banded together and planned with the Ravagers to stand up for Ronan who was heading to the planet with an all powerful gem in tow. Them, along with the Nova Corp when things were getting tight, began to take on the Kree forces, with all the Guardians except for Rocket entering the Dark Aster. Working their way to the central room, Gamora was forced to face her sister, who had sided with Ronan, to open the doors to the central room. She was able to get the upper hand, and open the door, but not before Nebula had hacked at her arm just to escape Gamora. They faced Ronan for what they thought would be one last time, but when he came out unscathed, Rocket crash landed into the Dark Aster. The ship was sent hurtling down into the ground, with Groot protecting them from the collision. The sacrifice of their friend was not in vein, as the Guardians were able to go on to defeat Ronan by sharing the power of the Orb. Things calmed down after that. Their wounds were attended to, and Nova Corp even pardoned them of all their crimes, furnishing them with a brand new Milano. With no mission in sight, they set out into the galaxy...only for the furriest Guardian to be picked up by his creators and brought to Peter's homeworld, Terra. There was the added perk of infinity stones being located there, but their primary objective was getting their teammate back.
