El!
El has been with the site for nearly two years now and has continued to prove her value. Currently, she is heading up our site event, Battle for Liberterram, on top of keeping up with her own personal plots.
CHARACTER
SPOTLIGHT
Peggy Carter!
Lux's posts are all wonderful to read. She has done a wonderful job of grasping the new universe and incorporating Peggy into it.
CHARACTER
SPOTLIGHT
Peter Parker!
It's good to see Spidey back on the site. Watching him deal with the universe shift in his own snarky way has been nothing short of entertaining.
THREAD
SPOTLIGHT
Eight O'Clock on the Dot!
El and Lux are making magic in this thread. Straight up fireworks, and the way they've played with drawing out the reveal is top class.
In an effort to make Mortal Ends more interactive than your average forum based RPG, we have created a society where money matters, and the ways of earning it are many and varied. The S.H.I.E.L.D. Financial Services is here to discuss the three most prominent and important aspects of such a society.
This is also where you will come if at any point you wish to make an Incentive Withdrawal, explained in the Earning Money section.

I. Make a character! That's right - the first step to earning money at Mortals End is to have an accepted character! All new characters, upon acceptance, receive 500 dollars to start up!
II. Posting Your best and most frequent method of earning your money is through active posting. While there are areas (such as the Games) where posting earns you nothing, nearly every part of the site will grant you the following automatically:
III. Graphics & Coding Requests Got a bit of the artist in you? Brilliant! Doing graphics and code requests for fellow members can earn you money from them and the site, so this is a really great way to line your pockets. Who knows, maybe the staff may ask you to do something for the site itself one day! For more on Graphics & Code related money, click the spoiler tag.
Graphic Work For those with an open graphics shop, for each job you complete, the government will provide compensation.
You are also allowed to charge members for your work, but it must be no more than 50% of what the site pays. For example, you can charge members up to $25 for avatars.
No matter whether you charge the other members, the site will still pay you $50 for your creation.
Code Work For those with an open code shop, for each job you complete, the government will provide compensation.
You are also allowed to charge members for your work, but it must be no more than 50% of what the site pays. This means you can charge members up to $50 per template. No matter whether you charge the other members, the site will still pay you $100 for your creation.
IV. Employee Of The Month Awards These are awards given out to individuals chosen by the members by way of a voting system. Each month, the members’ choice winners will receive a 100 dollars per category! Whenever we have a Thread of the Month poll, it has a pot of 300 dollars, which will be split between the players evenly.
V. Event Participation We like our events to be active, so a bit of an incentive to make sure they are is, of course, a pot of money at the end of the road! Because of the large amounts of money a person can acquire upon an event, all events (aside from mini-events) are announced ahead of time.
VI. Site Contests Mortal Ends will hold a wide array of contests every now and then - large ones will be announced prior (such as sitewide events), but sometimes little ones pop up and whoever is online at the time gets a chance at a quick prize. Money, custom titles, artwork, graphics, codes, mini-stories - you name it, and it's probably a prize for grabs at some point or another. Guaranteed though, money will always be in the pot.
VII. Incentive Withdrawals Incentive withdrawals are earned in various ways, mostly related to post content and quality, but it's not the only way. Click on the spoiler tag to see how to earn incentives.
As for the withdrawals, all you have to do is post the Incentive Withdrawal form found at the bottom of this thread.

I. Graphics & Code For economical purposes, it is possible to pay fellow census members for certain services such as graphics and codes. This keeps the currency flowing from hand to hand rather than sitting stagnant in banks or site shops.
II. Homes Because the purchase of a home will result in a sub-board just for your character, the prices on these are hefty, which is why its a good idea to work for as much money as possible. Certain canons already have homes and some have large ones pre-made for them for site purposes. Most canons and originals will have to work for theirs however. Click on the spoiler tag for home prices and explanations.
A city home is a sub forum in the American city of your choice. You will not need to have anyone else sign up to live with your character - the only lease agreement is that there must be one active thread per month or your home will be repossessed. If this purchase is made, you must PM S.S.A. Erin with your sub-forum description and city of choice.
2. International Housing Price: Two House Tokens
International Housing is a sub forum on any board you desire. You will not need to have anyone else sign up to live with your character - the only lease agreement is that there must be one active thread per month or your home will be repossessed. If this purchase is made, you must PM S.S.A. Erin with your sub-forum description and country of choice.
IV. Site Shop The site has a shop where you are able to purchase in game items that your characters may utilize during events and quests when necessary, as well as various site perks.
In the event that you would like to make a purchase that, between two of your characters, you can afford, PM S.S.A. Erin and request that funds from the secondary account be moved to the primary one for purchasing purposes.
