[PTabbedContent][PTab=GENERAL INFORMATION] CHARACTER INFO: NAME: Bruce Banner ALIAS: The Hulk AGE: 43 OCCUPATION: Scientist/Smasher of things MEMBER GROUP: Avengers POWERS AND ABILITIES: Well, When he gets pissed off he turns into the giant green Hulk, a near unstopable force by brute means. A complete Barbarian of a monster, he can tear apart entire cities with his hands, clapping to send earth shattering waves of force. The man is a one man Army, and has single handely proven time and time again that near nothing on Earth can handle the Behemoth. Over the years and during the Avengers Crisis, he is slowly coming to terms with the Hulk, instead accepting it as another part of himself instead of just a monster hiding within. He believes it to be a being of wrath, of hatred, of protection over his own soul. Whenever Bruce cannot outsmart, he simply bursts through. The more enraged he becomes, and the longer he stays, the stronger the Hulk becomes, and the harder it becomes to calm him down. PLAYBY: Mark Ruffalo OOC INFO: PLAYER NAME: Robear AGE: 21 GENDER: Male TIMEZONE: Illinois OTHER CHARACTERS: nope [/PTab][PTab=PERSONNEL ASSESSMENT] PERSONALITY ASSESSMENT: LIKES: Science- For the obvious reasons, Bruce has been commited to science his entire life and has never stopped trying to improve, trying to invent, and has delved himself into near hermit status simply to continue his life as a scientist as normally as possible. Snakes- Bruce has always had an odd Fascination with Snakes. Whether it was because of their ability to shed their skin and start anew, or to move with no limbs, or to even have so many different species, he has utterly loved the reptilian animals. He even has one of his own, a very large and slightly mutated Constrictor due to testing. It can swallow a human whole, and he simply lets it wander around his home. It does not harm him, or even attempt to, due to the green giant within. Animals over Humans- Bruce has always gotten along with animals, but since the accident and the mutation, he has noticed this has grown even more. Maybe because of the pure primal beast within, animals tend to bow or even shy away from Bruce, or simply embrace him as one of their own. It is an odd side effect, but one he has no control over. Smashing and Crashing- Bruce over the years has come to terms with the Hulk, and everything it is. As calm as he comes off, their is always a dull roar of anger hidden behind the smart voice of the doctor. While he will never try to unleash this anger around others, there comes a certain release, near sexual that comes from utterly obliterating the surroundings. It is almost like a need, one that cannot go unchecked. It is a bad side effect of embracing the Hulk, but one he had to accept. Seclusion and Isolation- After the Avengers project Bruce finally found himself alone, truly alone with the man inside that wanted nothing more than destruction. So he gave him a home, a home far away from any major population area. Unlike before where he was living within a small area with others, now he lives truly alone, away from any sort of population, so that he can do his research in peace, and focus on Serenity and quiet, until he feels like destroying the landscape, of course. DISLIKES: Being Lied To- This has always been a problem for Bruce, due to the natural Paranoia. It is hard enough for him to trust someone, but with lieing on top of it he will have none of it. Large Crowds - Bruce has never been able to deal with large crowds since the incident, all the noise and annoying things that bother him always make it a little harder to concentrate, or to focus on not throwing a certain bald man through a steel wall. Just another nick in the head, or so he tells himself. Small Spaces- Bruce also has a small case of Claustrophobia, also due to the green Mutation. It came with a lot of downsides, and the Hulk likes nothing having to do with being contained. An animal does not belong in a cage, no matter how dangerous. The word monster- Due to the feel of the Hulk, and everything the goverment has tried to do to him over the years, certain words are almost a trigger, pushing a button that should never be pushed. These words include monster, Abomination, and a few others. Goverment- Bruce over the years has grown to distrust any form of goverment. They have never done any good for him, and the Avengers was only a release, nothing more. Besides, he found Shield making weapons and bombs, they didn't deserve his respect, much less his support. STRENGTHS: The Hulk- This is an obvious one, the longer he is transformed the stronger he becomes, end of story. Not much more to say. Hyper Intelligent- Able to understand almost anything with a night to study it, Bruce is constantly learning and always looking to expand what he knows. Able to Keep up with Tony Stark, an achievement all on it's own. Quick Thinker- Banner is almost always able to think on his feet, keeping himself moving and always finding new ways to approach things. This makes him an valuable asset to the Avengers team... along with the big green guy, of course. WEAKNESSES: Pain Tolerance- Due to the Green beast within, Bruce banner is not able to deal with Pain to well. Pain causes the reaction within him that begins the transformation, but Bruce has gotten a handle on it. He can handle it to a certain point, but nowhere near the threshold of his counterparts. The moment this threshold is reached, however the Hulk comes out, tearing apart whatever caused his human half so much pain. Insomnia- Due to the nightmares and the conflict ion between scientist and pure brutal monster, Bruce finds himself unable to sleep most nights. The best sleep he gets is after the hulk is fully unleashed, when its destructive tendencies are sated and Bruce and the Beast can slumber together once more. Paranoia- Due to the abuse from his father, and the extreme mistreatment at the hands of the government before the Avengers Project, Bruce has developed an extreme Paranoia. This causes him to be entrusting of anyone around him, especially those that work for Shield. They lied to him before about working on weaponry, why in the world would they tell him the truth now?. GOALS: To finally be at peace with the world, and the monster within. Bruce seeks enlightenment, a uphill battle for a green monster that just wants to beat things to a bloody mess. He hopes to bring the hulk within his grasp of reasoning someday, or to simply give in and become one with the monster completely, body and mind. The odd part is... he doesn't know which sounds more appealing anymore. Space Exploration- Ever since the Alien incident and attack, Bruce has had a yearning for the stars. The scientist within him wants to explore new worlds, find something that no man has dared ever find before. But also, there comes something else, with new planets, brings new aliens, new enemies, and that excites the Hulk, something that it could fight that actually might stand a chance at fighting back. FEARS: Losing control within a Large scale City- He is not thinking about something like the alien incident, he is thinking along the lines of becoming a pure an utter animal. He doesn't want to think about the destruction caused before, now it is simply about the future. He doesn't want to picture losing control, and seeing no difference between machine, man, and child. Death- Bruce does not fear this, but the Hulk does. The hulk is an animal by nature, a force brought out by pure manifestation of animal instincts upon human flesh. It fears death, and seeks the only things an animal truly needs. Survival and Prosper. As far as the green giant sees it, he will fight until the day he dies, and if Bruce will not allow it, then he will be brushed aside. OVERALL PERSONALITY: Since the Avengers operation, Bruce's personality has slowly changed, due to having to deal with the knowledge that alien life existed outside of Earths boundries. Shield will never leave him alone, and that everyone aboard the HeliCarrier fears him more than respects him, and he finds that... pleasant. Bruce sunk himself into his work, so his personality has slowly fell off over the years. He no longer holds the always pleasant demeanor, although the doctor is always one to please. He believes in furthering his career in science, and has dropped most other pleasures off of the earth, to further exile himself. He is always smiling, but like the crazy doctor who has something to hide, while he is smiling he may be wishing the beast would be rid of you. Embracing the animal within has made him slightly more animistic when his emotions begin to get in the way, smell and hearing beginning to transform first before the rest. He is slightly awkward around others now, although he cares not. If it does not affect his work, he could not give one fuck or another about it. HISTORICAL OVERVIEW: BIRTHPLACE: Dayton, Ohio RESIDENCE:Tristan de Cunha, a small island that he has a lab on, with only about 300 people. He has built into the island, to not disturb it's inhabitants who love and respect him as the doctor. They live with the Hulk, simply pretending he does not exist, or working around the green monster and telling any newcomers to the island that he doesnt exist. PARENTS: Both Dead, one killed by Bruce, the other by the Abusive Father. SIBLINGS: NOPE IMPORTANT RELATIVES: NOPE IMPORTANT PERSON: NOPE OVERALL HISTORY: Bruce Banner's father wasn't the brightest of them all. He was very abusive and actually ended up giving his son the Radioactive Gene that would eventually become the Hulk strain. But we will get to that. During the time spent with his father, he watched his mother die before his eyes, and suppressed the memory before eventually killing his father many years later. This memory haunts him to this day, and he tends to simply fall into the mindset of an Orphan, shoving aside any memory of his mother or father, simply to continue his life. He does not think about them for any reason, hoping to keep painful things in the past. Then came the Accident, the one that brought out the massive beast known as the Hulk. It was a roaring monster that began to easily destroy cities and so on and so forth. Throughout the years, many government tries to contain the beast failed, only angering it more and causing with more destruction of Lives, which Bruce felt personally responsible for. He tortures himself at times, breaking down when it is the worst possible moment. Bruce cannot begin to describe what has happened to him over the years, but at first the Hulk was a monster to him. But after a while, it began to become a guilty pleasure, almost like a drug. The release of all that anger just felt amazing, and while he knew he couldn't push it, slowly he began to understand the monster within. Bruce had attempted to hide though, to stay under the goverments radar for once. He helped people, keeping the Hulk suppressed to help those who he believed needed it, not those who just wanted more power. He wouldn't be caught dead helping out those who didn't need it, he didnt care anymore. Then came the Avengers initiative, and everything that happened after that. The alien invasion gave Bruce a whole new outlook on life, and the pure Ecstasy that came from fighting something so new, so different was amazing to him. It got him so high, feeling so damn good that he finally decided to embrace the hulk, making it a part of himself instead of just something else to be shoved within a closet. After that Bruce once again tried to disappear, with the help of his new friend Tony Stark, he got a new lab set up at Tristan de Cunha, a small archipelago island with only about 300 people. He lives in peace with these people, based, on one side of the dormant volcano to further his research. The people on the Island know about his mutation, and live as though he is one of them, simply hiding from the hulk when he comes out to take anger out on the rocks that surround the island. One beach was made due to the Hulks anger, which the villagers use and thank Bruce for almost everyday. They supply him with food, and he in turn acts as a super doctor and problem solver whenever the simple inhabitants need something solved. It is peaceful here, and he will anihilate anything that destroys this peaceful lifestyle. [/PTab][PTab=IMAGE][/PTab][/PTabbedContent={width:485px;border:0px;margin-left:-2px;}] |
