El has been with the site for nearly two years now and has continued to prove her value. Currently, she is heading up our site event, Battle for Liberterram, on top of keeping up with her own personal plots.
Lux's posts are all wonderful to read. She has done a wonderful job of grasping the new universe and incorporating Peggy into it.
It's good to see Spidey back on the site. Watching him deal with the universe shift in his own snarky way has been nothing short of entertaining.
Eight O'Clock on the Dot!
El and Lux are making magic in this thread. Straight up fireworks, and the way they've played with drawing out the reveal is top class.
Mutant rights activist; Brotherhood of Mutants Leader (Considered by some a Terrorist)
Powers & Abilities:
Power to manipulate electromagnetic fields and any ferrous or nonferrous metal
Sir Ian Mckellen
Intellectual Debates: Anything political, religious, historical, artistic. As long as it is something that improves the way one rationalizes he loves it. Intelligence is highly prized by him, and with that intelligence follows knowledge of years studying.
Chess: Again, something that helps the mind, he loves this game. Eric has been playing it for years but he truly started loving it when he first met Xavier, the two would spend great nights playing a game or two. So today, playing chess to him reveales fond memories.
Young Talent: Eric absolutely adores a kid that has just learned about his mutation/hidden powers. They are young, and being young means they are highly moldable and don't have a proper ideological view on anything. The prodigal sons of today can be tomorrow's perfect soldiers for the good cause.
Fellow Mutants: Eric worships his position as a mutant, sees it as a gift where others see a curse. As a mutant he believes he is superior to any human and therefore he supports all other mutants to fight for their rights as long as they are not stupid or too human-loving.
Engineering and Robitcs: Having a degree in both Eric enjoys spending some time messing around with anything metal, be it cogs or wires. He can usually come up with some nifty inventions as he is creative, evidence of that would be the utility belt he used before restoring most of his powers.
Racism and Bigotry: Being an holocaust survivor Eric has seen the true face of hatred through the eyes of the Nazi empire. Those he loved have been slaughtered under the command of an highly racist man. What he sees in modern days when he looks at the attacks he suffers at the hands of the Humans resembles it too much.
Most Humans: Humans have the idea that they own the world, but how can they own a world when they are the weaker race? A bunch of hateful racist pricks there are little to no Humans Eric can actually rely on or remotely enjoy. He will see them pay for the pain theyr brought upon his people.
Hero-wannabes: Eric detests the notion of Hero, he finds them highly utopical and unconceivable. All heroes are defending the interests of one group, even if it's larget, it's not what the general public would like. So why call yourself a hero and act like the good guy. The mutant feels like they should have never been praised and they should just vanish or change their notion of justice, because it is wrong and corruptable.
Dense-headed idiots: Eric respects intelligence above all. Idiocracy and spitting on prized wisdom is not something he takes lightly, many times members of the Brotherhood were punished for acting like a brainless gorilla. respect a man that has spent his years studying and improving his knowledge by not opening your mouth to sound like a common dolt.
Practical jokers: Eric isn't one to disdain at a good joke, but keep in mind he is a serious man at his core and too much clownery is irritating. Uppity lift people with the brain of a child are not worthy of his words or ears. Act like a fool or a prankster and you shall be tested in other ways, more painful and excruciating ways.
Magnetic Field Manipulation: Magneto has been granted mastery over all forms of magnetism. He can perceive the magnetic forces of the Earth as well as the bio-electrical patterns of all living beings. He can draw on and use the magnetosphere of the planet, which extends far into space. Magneto can use his vast power to reshape even the most indestructible metals. Magneto can also create electromagnetic fields strong enough to manipulate non-ferrous items, though he may be using anti-gravity fields to do this.
Super-Human Attributes: Magneto has the ability to increase his physical attributes by directing his magnetic powers inward. He has been seeing increasing his physical strength and durability, as well as his speed and reaction time.
Mental Resistance: Magneto has trained himself to defend his mind against even the strongest telepathic attacks. He possesses a great deal of knowledge in devising technology to block psychic assaults. Magneto's helmet greatly augments his already immense mental fortitude, and even without it he has been shown resisting the intrusion of immensely powerful psychics.
Genius-level Intellect: Magneto is a genius with competence in various fields of advanced science, especially genetic mutation, particle physics, engineering, and robotics. His intellect has allowed him to create many advanced and complex machines, most of which are well beyond the scope of contemporary science.
Master Combatant: Magneto has some military training in hand-to-combat and is capable of holding his own in a fight, though he prefers the use of his mutant powers in most combat situations. He is an able athlete despite his age, and keeps himself in excellent physical condition.
Master Tactician and Strategist: A genius, he can design a plan that is apparently flawless to most. Magneto is an excellent strategist, both in actual battles and games of chess, and has extensive combat experience.
Polyglot: Fluent in English, German, Polish, Yiddish, French, Russian, Ukrainian, Hebrew, and Arabic. He has even managed to decipher the ancient language of a lost civilization.
Physical Condition: Magneto's ability to wield his superhuman powers effectively is dependent upon his physical condition. When severely injured, his body is unable to withstand the strain of manipulating great amounts of energy. When his powers are not at their peak, he also appears to have greater difficulty controlling forces other than magnetism. There is a possibility that Magneto simply has a genetic predisposition to magnetism that simply makes it easy for him to manipulate it. He is also susceptible to physical and mental fatigue that can ultimately affect his ability to adequately use his powers.
Prideful heart: Some would argue Magneto is way too prideful and that has hurt him multiple times in the past. Most of the times he can't look past his mistakes as he doesn't see most of them, and one day that perception that there is no one better than him, could be fatal.
Overused to manipulating metal: When attacked with something made out of non-metal materials, it's more than likely that for at least a certain amount of time Magneto won't know what to do, he is used to dominating opponents mainly based on the fact that most people use metal weaponry. Being too used means conforming to his usual way of battling, while it is true that he can adapt to various battle variables, it will take him some time to get over the fact he's losing.
Mutant Supremacy: Mutants shall reign over the world like they deserve. A stronger more imponent race is supposed to be on top of the food chain, not weakling sacks of flesh.
Destroying Thanos and joining the Mutant Banners: Thanos is a threat. Magneto defends his planet as it is his home and the home of his kind, Thanos is currently his priority and the thing that should be dealt with. If that means joining forces with X-Men and the pseudo-heroes he will do so, after all, they could use some of his masterful tactician intellect.
Fear of losing his powers again. After losing them once, he is afradi it will happen again, he feels worthless and void if he can't use his abilities.
Currently he also fears Thanos, he's not an idiot, he knows very well that this being is capable of things he was never capable of and stepping one on one against him is definately out of question.
Magneto is not a completely evil man as someone would paint him out to be. He cares for some even if most of his love and compassion faded with time. He likes to teach, to improve his people. However, he is vengeful and also full of hatred for the suffering he had to endure and for watching the few he loved die around him. Eric is not a brute, he's a classy man with a somewhat inflatuated ego. He can be extremely chaotic and violent when pushed around, even scary to most people. Widely respected by his crew most of them fear him for the power he holds and the little patience he has for failure.
Eric knows very well what he is capable of and uses it to incite fear. He can be brutal and he can be charming, it works either ways, but we always know that what hides beneath the skin is a force to be reckoned with. Many times has he been stopped only to rise again even stronger. Matter of fact is, the X-Men have had their hands full for years over one man, and that man is him. While we're at the X-Men deal, let us add that Magneto still feels high empathy for some of X-Men's members, be it just because they are fellow mutants, or because he had a past with them. He will crush them when necessary but he'd rather have peace between them and have them join his forces so mutants can freely rule. He is a Holocaust survivor who wants to ensure that mutants do not suffer the same fate his family did for being born different.
Magneto has long been the face of mutant separatism, in opposition to Charles Xavier's ideal of coexistence with humanity. Believing that mutants are the next stage in human evolution, he sought to assert their dominance over the planet and its inhabitants. This was Magneto's means of assuring the survival of his people in a world that hates and fears them for there very existence. Though not a hero, Magneto is charismatic, noble, and wise. His long and turbulent friendship with Charles Xavier has been a cornerstone for both men's lives, as a rivalry that has lasted decades.
Currently he has no official residence, just moving a lot from place to place. He will only have an official base and home when he manages to regroup the Brotherhood.
Jakob and Edie Eisenhardt (Both Deceased).
Ruth Eisenhardt (Sister, Deceased)
It is known that Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are actually his daughter and son. Their mother, Eric's wife, Magda is dead. Even though they are his children he doesn't treat them any differently from the way he treats the other members of the Brotherhood.
Magda Eisenhardt, the only woman he ever loved, she is presumed dead after their house was burned to the ground and she escaped into the mountains.
Eric was born somewhere in the middle of Germany, just a bit before World War II started. He was born Max Eisenhardt, during the 1920's to a middle class Jewish family. His father, Jakob Eisenhardt, was a World War I veteran and a proud German. The family struggled against discrimination and hardship during the Nazi's rise to power, the Nuremberg laws, and Kristallnacht. In the early 1930's, the family fled to Poland, where they were captured during the Nazi invasion and sent to the Warsaw Ghetto. They managed to escape the ghetto, but were captured again. Max's mother, father, and sister were executed, but Max survived.
The reason why he survived was because he had an early manifestation of his powers when he started opening and shaking metal gates in rage. The Nazis saw an opportunity in this and decided to test him. The rest of his years in the execution camp were dark as he was forced to kill fellow Jews inside chambers, while his powers were developed for wrong. While at the camp, Max was reunited with a girl he had fallen in love with during his school days named Magda. Max and and Magda escaped when Auschwitz was liberated and were soon married. They moved to the Ukrainian city of Vinnytsia, where they started their new lives together. Max adopted the name "Magnus" and Magda gave birth to their daughter who they named Anya.
One night he was randomly attacked by a group of thugs and in a lash of rage he used his powers to kill them all. When he returned home, his house was on fire and the corpse of his incinerated daughter was laying inside. His wife Magda ran into the woods never to be seen again and most probably died soon after. In reality, Magda gave birth to two twins in the mounts, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, but Magnus would only find them much later on.
He then forged himself a new identity Eric Magnus Lehnsherr. After taking upon his new identity he moved to Israel for a brief time where he met Professor Charles Xavier, a man that would become one of his best friends, they would play ches and debate about mutation and the future of humankind. In that same place one day a man tried to attack one of their patients and they were forced to reveal their powers, that's when they found out they had different ideologies on mutation and the future for the Mutants. They moved away from each other for long years.
During that time Eric worked for the CIA as a Nazi Hunter, a job that didn't last long before he vanished again. When he returned he already called himself "Magneto". Having helped Charles Xavier once again with common enemies the duo noticed the tension between them for the different theories on what should happen next. That's when Magneto became a villain at the eyes of the new society created by Charles the "X-Men". Magneto vowed to make this world a better place for mutants and he would crush anyone that stood on his way. Many battles have they fought and he would rise again.
Magneto then created "The Brotherhood" a group of mutants with the same ideals as his, that would serve under him and aid in the battle against humanity and the X-Men. In the Brotherhood he would find Quicksilver and Scarlet, learning that he was their father. Years have passed and wars have been fought until not long ago when all of his powers were drained.
Without powers the Brotherhood fell without a leader. What no one knows though is that Eric didn't really quit like they all thought he did. He might be playing the role of a simple civilian but slowly his powers were starting to come back, and now he's at full force and ready to take on his enemies. First priority: Get the Brotherhood together once again!
