NAME: John Franklin Walker
ALIAS: U.S. Agent, Captain America
MEMBER GROUP: Superhumans, SHIELD
AFFILIATIONS: Avengers, SHIELD
POWERS AND ABILITIES:
[*] Captain America Shield | The nigh-indestructible shield forged out of pure adamantium. The shield is the symbol of Captain America and all the virtues the free world stands for. Originally owned by Steve Rogers, he gave up the right to bear the shield after walking away from the Avengers and SHIELD. In 2015 John Walker took up the shield, and became the first man since Rogers to be called ‘Captain America’.
In his role as Captain America, he holds great authority and there are only few people or organizations in the world that can tell him what to do or bring him to heel. In the role of Captain America, he's his own responsibility and is held accountable only by himself and the perception of the greater world.
[*] Superhuman Physique | After being the sole success of the SHIELD NuSoldier programme, John Walker has attained physical abilities of the superhuman variety. With super strength, agility, endurance, reflexes, and more being granted to him.
[*] Enhanced Lifespan | A part of the serum has also granted him a significantly longer lifespan, on par with the likes of Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff. Whilst being only mid 30’s, his physical peak will take decades before it starts decaying.

WHO PLAYS WHO:
JOB CLAIM: Avenger
[+] SHIELD | SHIELD has been his family for as long as he can remember, and the colleagues it houses are comrades in arms whether they work behind the scenes or on the field of battle. He is eternally loyal to the organization, and would obey every order given him.
[+] Nick Fury | The man that has effectively granted him superhuman abilities and an extremely extended lifespan. Nick Fury handpicked him in the experimental project, and granted him the position of Captain America when the world needed someone to pick up the shield.
[+] Combat | Forged in the crucible of warfare, John Walker lives and breathes the struggle for survival and the goal to protect other people from harm.
[+] Cold beer and Barbeque | If there's anything that can get Walker's heart pounding faster, it's summer days in the sun spent with a beer and grilled steak.
[+] Football | The best game on earth, and the go-to Quarterback in every SHIELD amateur league. A world without Football is a world John would not want to live in.
[+] Motorcycles | Being able to drive the open road on his motorcycle is yet another part of his ideal towards freedom. Whenever he can afford the time, or whenever he simply demands the time from himself, he'll be found tinkering with his motorcycle and speeding down the open roads.
[+] Steve Rogers | The legend himself, and the man for who the shield he carries was forged over half a century ago. John never feels he can ever get on equal terms with Rogers, and holds a deep respect for the hero of freedom.
[-] Steve Rogers | Whilst he truly respects Steve Rogers, and little will make him think less of the man. He does feel that Rogers’ current path is a foolish and dangerous one. And he believes that Rogers turned his back on the rest of the world when he gave up the shield and walked away from his responsibility. Walker has taken these slights personally.
[-] Half Measures | From the first mission throughout the rest of his career, John Walker has eschewed using half measures when completing objectives. The best way to protect people is to ensure the dangers are eliminated permanently, and he is ruthless enough to live with making the tough decisions.
[-] Traitors | Turning your back on your country for personal gain or misguided zeal is unacceptable to John Walker. He holds no respect or care for people that have betrayed their comrades, citizens, or the innocent just so they could have it better and make a profit from it. They're the lowest of the low, and can expect little in the way of protection from Walker.
[-] Activists | Whilst Walker is the last one that would be against free speech, he believes it has its time and place, and people simply need to trust the process and make change through the right measures rather than hide behind masks and instill chaos and anarchy on the streets to get their misguided messages across. Something about they way Activists, Hacktivists, and all other 'do-ers' go about their way in trying to change the world doesn't gel well with him.
[-] Blind Idealism | Walker loves the thought of protecting the innocent and upholding the ideals of the free world. Blind idealism is something that can easily turn into extremism when not kept in check. And even someone like Walker himself has to break his ideals sometimes to ensure the safety for the rest of the people. Blindly sticking to their guns is admirable, but ultimately foolish.
[-] Extremists | Anyone who is willing to take up arms and hurt the innocent to make their words carry more weight are a danger to society, and they are people that John is seeking to stop at all costs. Whether they're specie-ist, racist, or just plain old fascists, he's prepared to put his life on the line to stop all forms of extremism before they can fester and destroy the world he cares for.
[-] Politicians | Whilst he can make nice with anyone and put on an act to make the politicians happy. There's a reason he doesn't let himself be led directly by said politicians, and operates outside their juristiction. Whether or not they intend to, many politicians are self-absorbed and would rather save their own hide rather than admit faults of their own doing. Walker knows they're as much as a neccesity as they are an evil, but he prefers to stay out of their way and only give them lip service where neccesary.
[+] Supersoldier | Despite not being as mighty as say, Steve Rogers or Natasha Romanoff. The serum used on Walker is still one of great potency, giving him superhuman powers very comparable to the super soldiers that preceded him.
[+] Intelligence | One of the traits that has always put him ahead of the rest is his intelligence on and off the battlefield. An expert tactician with a mind for warfare like no other, John Walker is able to set up plans and prepare for battle with even the most unlikely scenarios planned for. He's able to outwit, outstrategize, and outthink many when it comes to strategy.
[+] Loyalty | There is nobody that can question his complete and utter dedication to SHIELD, The Avengers, and the free world. John Walker is prepared to put his own life on the line to protect all the ideals that comes with freedom.
[+] Charismatic | A man that has spent most of his career with SHIELD, he's gained the respect of his peers over the years and has been a man that has been able to lead from the front for the better part of that career. Whilst he's not charismatic in a way that he can lead the masses, or run for office, his voice carries significant authority amongst his fellow warriors.
[-] Obnoxious | Whilst Walker's loyalty and patriotism are very admirable in any case, people can quickly get very very frustrated by his one-track mind regarding it. And the extremely high standard he holds people to to even get a modicum of respect. He's a massive hardass, and doesn't tolerate backtalk from anyone.
[-] Flagging Mental Stability | Even though by all accounts SHIELD's serum programme was a great success that gave John Walker his powers, the truth is that the trauma of undergoing the procedure has left a permanent mark on Walker's mind. And the truth is that his actions under pressure have become more erratic and unconventional, even by his standards.
[-] Ruthless | Walker is prepared to do anything to protect people, and he won't try to imitate a false sense of protection towards the dangers that befell the country. Due process isn't reserved for the ones that wish to blow up buildings, and terrorize the populace, and he doesn't hesitate to execute people after they have given up all information they had.
[-] Emotionally Distant | Whilst he's a man that's always in for a laugh and is quick to strike up conversation with anyone, and also certainly isn't shy about romantic engagements. He's otherwise emotionally distant and there aren't many people that have gotten past the superficial layers and truly gotten through to John. Whilst he counts many friends, there's not a lot that he regards as friends.
[-] Cynical | Despite his unwavering dedication to the ideal of freedom and liberty, John Walker has learned that the world has gotten to this point through the actions of the people in power. And thus is hard-pressed in trusting politicians and other people in power to do the right thing unless they are forced to.
[-] Tactless | Quick to speak his mind about things that he doesn't agree with, he reacts in a blunt and direct manner refusing to talk nice or otherwise make his words come across 'softer' than they are intended to be. He's a man that doesn't care much for the finer parts of decorum or etiquette.
[*] Protect freedom by any means neccesary
[*] Do the position of Captain America justice.
[*] Not living up to the expectations put on him.
[*] Failure to protect people.
Confident and professional, John Walker is the perfect example of a man that has spent nearly his entire adult life in the service of his country. Whilst he's outgoing and well spoken, he's a man that's ultimately a soldier in mind and heart and tries to avoid public situations in favour of more personal and direct occassions.
In action, John Walker is a quick-witted and fast acting operator who can lead from the front with many of his peers respecting his presence and being better off because of it. He's not afraid to question motives or orders if it concerns the life of innocent people or his own men, and he's got little in the sense of self-preservation on a political level. He's prepared to destroy his own career if it meant doing a greater good, and is not one to quickly falter or doubt his own actions.
Another part of his personality that many quickly recognize is his near abrasive love for the very concept of personal freedoms. In his eyes people are free to do and act as they please, as long as they respect the laws in place and do not harm others in their actions. There's not a shred of discrimination to be found inside of him, and he regards everyone around him as equal beings.
Whilst he's also been remarked as being completely cool under pressure and very reasonable in his actions, ever since being a part of SHIELD's NuSoldier programme his temper under fire has faltered, and he's gotten more of a hair-trigger with a more ruthless and impatient demeanor, making rash and quick-tempered decisions which he himself regards as the right course of action, although they are at times controversial and insensible in practice. His ruthless attitude clashing very much with his more laid-back persona whenever he's not out in the field, and whenever he's not required to make split-time decisions that affect the many.

Growing up in a 'SHIELD' family, John's parents both worked for SHIELD for as long John could remember. And it only made sense that their two sons, Michael and John also followed in their path as they signed up to the SHIELD Academy once they became old enough to undergo the strict and harsh training regiment that SHIELD adhered to.
Both Walker siblings were great students both in the classroom and out on the training fields, excelling in sports, combatives, and strategy. First Caleb, and later John became the perfect specimen of a skilled, intelligent, and loyal SHIELD agent who could go into the field and get things done.
John was only in his first years in the academy when his older brother Caleb was sent into action, but where his brother would ordinarily return with nary a scratch on his body, it was not to be for that standard operation that horribly went south. Barely clinging to life after protecting others from an explosion, it sent Caleb into a coma that he would never wake up from.
Instead of being disheartened and questioning his place in the academy, the selfless actions of his brother only helped to brighten the spark in John's mind. And in the years that followed John became one of the finest agents to have come from the Shadow Academy, with only a few people being regarded as a peer to the excellent agent whose extreme sense of patriotism got him the nickname 'Super Patriot', which he took up as praise.
When SHIELD scientists made a new breakthrough regarding a new super soldier serum, John Walker was the first man handpicked by SHIELD Director Nick Fury to be a part of the first crop of SHIELD Super Soldiers in what was called the 'NuSoldier Project'. And out of over two dozen test subjects, John Walker ended up being the only success in this secret project where many of his peers either perished, lost their minds, or suffered permanent physical disabilities as the serum failed to bind with their systems.
The astronomically high attrition rate made certain the project was canned, but the sole success in John Walker ensured that SHIELD walked away with one new super soldier that was completely loyal to them, and was prepared to do anything to protect innocent life, regardless of the means he did his job.
For years the 'U.S. Agent' did his job perfectly, and stayed on top of the ranks of SHIELD. And with the world requiring a man to stand up and take charge against the dangers of the world, there was one position that had lain dormant for nearly a decade ever since the previous owner of the mantle had walked out and stopped protecting the freedom.
With no other takers to dispute the appointment, Nick Fury himself offered the SHIELD and title of Captain America to John Walker. A new captain for a new generation, a captain that had the dedication to protect the world and its virtues at all costs, but was able to make the hard decisions whenever it was needed.
John Walker never had to think about the decision, and in in 2015 he accepted the position to be the new Captain America. With near immunity and complete authority to do what is neccesary to protect greater New England and the rest of the world from all threats foreign, alien, and domestic. John Walker quickly established himself as a force that nobody wishes to trifle with.
