EXPERIMENT 83 (?) AKA TIGER SHARK angry idiot possible face-claim: jon kortajarena (pictured) some other brunette, pointy face douche failed clone of namor | While you can consult his wiki page, we are deviating substantially from canon, in the pursuit of a family dynamic between Tiger Shark, Namor and the rest of the royal family. We think that this could make for some really poignant plottage and adorable family stuff. Back in the 1940s, some really lucky German Scientist managed to get a hold of Namor biomaterial. Probably a couple of hairs. Maybe some skin cells. Whatever. For the next long, long time he proceeded to make clones from the base material. Cloning technology wasn't exactly terribly far along at the time, so it took a lot of work to even create something close to viable. Over time, as with happens with DNA, the source material began to degrade before they were even close to creating something viable. In order to continue their operations, the team of scientists turned to human DNA, since Namor was part human, and used that to fill in some of the missing sequences from the degraded source. In order to better simulate the aquatic requirements, they began to use a variety of sea mammals, and then other animals, finding that, for whatever reason, shark DNA worked the best for their purposes. Before the scientist leading the project passed away, he lived long enough to create Experiment 83, who would later become Tiger Shark. A combination of Tiger Shark DNA, human DNA, and Namor's DNA, Experiment 83 was a success, but only in the simplest form. His appearance was quite different from his "father's", and his abilities were noticeably weaker. It also seemed that he did not possess the mental aptitude of his "father", either. Instead being on the low end of average, Experiment 83 showed poor impulse control throughout his youth, and difficulty reasoning, and learning from past mistakes. Though in his mid 20s, Experiment 83's life inside of a lab, and his own neural deficiencies have caused him to have the effective emotional maturity of a teenager. Like his father, he is brash, passionate and superior. Unlike his father, he is stupid, but unfortunately thinks he is a great deal more clever than he is. And like many teenagers, is eager to impress and prove himself, and loathes rejection. As current plots progress, Namor will take to tracking down any of his illegitimate offspring, and eventually learn of Experiment 83. It is @aquaria and Namor who are most looking forward to him, in the hopes that the Atlanteans can take reluctant responsibility for him. We anticipate a lot of bullheaded arguments and dysfunctional family stuff. XD |
