NAME: Megan Hopkins
OCCUPATION: Vigilante Inhuman
MEMBER GROUP: OC, Superhuman
POWERS AND ABILITIES:
[*] Thermokinesis | Heat Manipulation
After going through Terrigenesis, Megan obtained the ability to produce and control great amounts of ambient and latent heat in her area. This can be done by taking existing heat sources, and heating up herself and her ambient surroundings, or transferring it into the objects she holds or touches. Given a powerful enough source, she'd be able to ramp up the heat in an object in such a dramatic way that it can bring various metals to their melting points, or even cause volatile objects to explode as bombs, or grenades.
[*] Heat Generation
Megan is not just able to use already existing sources of heat, if it is needed she can generate her own source of heat from her own energy stores. But this comes at a great cost of energy, and using it too much will undoubtedly exhaust her and bring her to a point where she's on the verge of collapsing, or if pushed even further than that, death. But through smart strategy, and synergy with already existing sources, she's able to simply create heat only in supplement, and to keep a steady stream of her 'lifeblood' coming in.
Due to her creation and harnessing of ambient heat, it causes her to 'bleed' heat all around her. Which causes the temperature around her body to be higher than the rest, and if she heats up her surroundings even further it causes the air around her to superheat, allowing her to directly control all the heated air and harness it in various ways. But she isn't able to control multiple constructs at one time, and at most can only keep a pair of static constructs active for a short time. The more the constructs are pushed to their limits and strained, the more energy it costs Megan to keep them up, and the harder it is to control them.
[*] Heat Constructs | Heat Blasts
Whilst controlling superheated air around her, Megan is able to direct the air towards the targets she is aiming at. She has trained this ability in such a way that it combines with her own martial arts style, being able to kick, knee, elbow, and simply punch the blasts towards her opponent. At close ranges, this can be a significant danger to anyone caught in the blast, and can cause scalding or burns to any non-protected area. At larger rangers, the heat dissipates enough for it to be 'safe', but powerful enough blasts can still throw someone backwards or off their feet.
[*] Heat Constructs | 'Flight'
Another use for her heat blasts has proven the ability to use large blasts to launch herself into the air in a very rough form of flight. Whilst it's barely sustained, with enough focus and energy she'll be able to keep the air around her heated up long enough to make it a few hundred feet before needing to land, in which she uses those same blasts to slow herself down to a safe landing speed.
[*] Heat Constructs | Heat Shield
Just as she is able to use the air around her as blasts, she's also able to envelop herself with the superheated air and form a rudimentary shield that can protect her against melee weapons, certain calibre ammunition, and keep herself hot in extremely cold environments that are inherently dangerous to Megan. A full body shield is also possible, but this takes much more focus and energy to keep up for more than just a few seconds, as a result Megan tends to simply keep a small shield so she's able to throw up a powerful short-termed shield until she can get to a safer spot.
[*] Immunity to Heat and Fire
Due to her body naturally running at a higher temperature, and being able to control and absorb the heat all around her. She's effectively immune to all forms of fire and heat. Whilst she can still be burned by fire, as long as she's conscious she can simply remove the heat from the fire or adjust her body temperature to match the blaze around her. As such, fire might still be a danger, but it proves too much energy to disregard.
[*] Immunity to (various types of) Poisons/Toxins/Pollutants
Megan is also able to keep herself immune to many forms of poison and toxins. This can be done in multiple ways, if they are already in her body she can heat herself up to a high enough temperature to turn the toxins inert and 'kill it' before it can cause immediate harm. If the danger is in her immediate vicinity, she can use a heat shield to protect her head, or superheat the air around her to 'burn' the pollutants out of the air surrounding her.
Naturally, if the poisons in question can cope with high amounts of heat, or are otherwise unaffected by her skills. Or she simply lacks the energy to stop it from happening, she'd still be very much vulnerable.
[*] Inhuman Metabolism & Endurance
Due to her now-Inhuman physique, her body requires a lot more sustenance than ordinary humans. Which means she can engorge herself with fat food and still walk around looking trained and fit. But due to the impracticality of eating such quantities she has learned to create special energy filled gels, that deliver a massive amount of calories in a very small and easy to consume package. It might not taste great, but it'll keep her alive, and even give her that extra energy when it matters.
Additionally, her level of endurance has also risen to a superhuman level because of this. As long as she has the calories burning in her body, or heat sources to sustain her, she can keep running/fighting for long periods of time, and only needing rest when her mind tires, or the heat sources around her 'dry up'.

TIMEZONE: Western European Timezone
OTHER CHARACTERS: Kayley Ryan
WHO PLAYS WHO:
JOB CLAIM: N/A
Dogs are great, the most loyal of animals and companions that will never walk out on you. They're there when you need them the most, and they'll never judge you or bite you as long as you give them ample love back.
[+] The heat
Not just to go to the beach and get a nice suntan, hot weather is her lifeblood, it is what gives her body the required energy to operate at an optimal state, and make her feel physically strong and mentally powerful.
[+] Tea, Coffee, Hot Cocoa
If it's scalding hot and undrinkable for ordinary people, it is the perfect temperature for Megan. She can just gulp down any sort of drink at a boiling temperature like it is nothing, and not feel a thing. For some reason, every hot drink tastes infinitely greater nowadays, as if her transformation even altered her sense of taste.
The gateway to inner peace and stability, Megan has always loved meditating when her mind got too cluttered with school and learning, and sitting down and just finding her center has done a great deal in keeping her mentally stable. Now that her body has changed and she is always bounding with energy as long as heat is nearby, being able to meditate is a godsend and allows her to greater control her powers and not let them take control of her.
[+] Complex Problems
She loves to fix things that nobody can fix, or know answers that nobody can even remotely guess. She's always been motivated by her parents to be as smart as she can possibly be, and as such she loves to just keep her mind busy with science, mathematics, and other complicated matters that can get her to think of other things than just her misery.
[+] Her Inhuman Powers
Even though she was afraid of them for the longest of time, more and more she is enjoying the power that courses through her veins. Every time she improves herself a little bit, it brings her a great rush, every time she can push herself a little harder, she feels that much more confident in herself. Before she was just an ordinary weak girl, now she feels she can fight and beat everyone that comes her way. It has given her an authority and responsibility with which she can change the world for the better.
Even though during her training she was very much near-celibate due to being completely focused on getting results and becoming better. Ever since setting off on her own she's loosened up, and has finally learned to live a little again. And when she meets someone she likes, she'll certainly let them know it too. Whether or not she's expecting anything out of it, she tries to keep things light.
[-] S.H.I.E.L.D (Or is it?)
After her Terrigenesis, she only had a short time to cope with her family when the agents of this organization kicked down the door. Unwilling to give up their daughters, SHIELD effectively executed her parents and took away her sister. Leaving her embittered, and wanting to burn this organization to cinders.
[-] The cold
She used to love having snowball fights, skating, and enjoying christmas time. Now it sucks royally, with her powers relying so much on the heat she feels physically worse whenever her surroundings are cold, and she doesn't want to feel weak.
[-] Not knowing where her sister is
They were both trying to cope with their respective physical and mental alterations after terrigenesis, and they were split apart from each other after a raid from a shady organization looking to experiment on them. Megan manage to get away, but they took her sister Shannon, and every day she's still in the dark is a bad one for Megan.
[-] Beer and Cold drinks
Again, like with the cold, any chilly drinks don't taste as great as they used to anymore. In part because they tend to heat up greatly the moment she starts drinking them, killing all the taste of the drink being nice and cold. It also messes with her bodily temperature, causing her to expend excess amounts of energy to keep everything ordinary.
[-] The suffering of others
Even though Megan has plenty of suffering of her own to be miserable about, the thing that gets to her the most is seeing other people suffer, the kind of people that can't fight back and are just stuck between a rock and a hard place. She simply cannot stand by idly whilst she could help out people, whether it needs her powers or not.
She's never been fond of guns in any sort of way, and abhors such a tool of death and destruction. It also does not help that whenever she picks up a gun they tend to melt or explode in her hand due to the great heat coursing through her.
[+] High IQ
Whilst she's not a complete savant or a genius by any stretch, she's been given a very strong set of brains by her late parents. And they made sure to instill a love for improving herself in their daughter. As such, she loves to focus on brainier subjects whenever she's not out in the field on her personal mission. Even now, after her life has changed so much, she really dreams of following in her parents footsteps, go back and finish her doctorate
Before her transformation and the complete change of her life, Megan was studying to get her Ph.D in Astrophysics like her idols Jane Foster and Erik Selvig. Her transformation and subsequent death of her parents derailed her plans to get that doctorate, but her knowledge hasn't just evaporated and she still knows much much more than any average person on the street. And whenever she finds the time she still tries to continue to study, and keep her knowledge up to snuff.
[+] Dedication and Determination
Before her transformation she was determined to get her ph.d in astrophysics and make new discoveries that shakes the world at its core. Now she has been given a great power, and she wants to find and save her sister and protect other innocent people. Megan has never been a person that has given up when the chips were down, and it hasn't changed as she's become better and more able. She doesn't know when to quit, against her better judgement she'll keep fighting and forcing the issue.
[+] Her Inhuman Abilities
Being able to control all the heat around her, she knows how much ability she has to change the world around her and make people fear her if she needs to. But instead of wanting to abuse her powers, she wants to improve herself and make sure to help the right people and keep the innocent people safe from the people that do want to use their abilities as a personal boon.
Some call it a (very annoying) weakness, but Megan likes to think it's a strength of her. And whilst in stressfull situations she can downright ramble about things that don't matter in the situation, she makes sure to keep situations light with a joke and a remark or two. And this helps her not shut down mentally and keep her calm, whilst also hopefully keeping others calm or riling them up in a way that can allow her a window of opportunity to gain the upper hand. And as a result, when she finally becomes completely silent it means that there's something really really wrong.
Despite all that has happened in her life, all the things that have dulled her emotions and made her more cynical. She still is more compassionate to people in need than she has any reason to be. She feels her powers aren't just a curse, or something to make her own life different. She wants to use her powers to protect and help people, even if those same people look at her with distrust and hatred.
[-] Physical strength
Before her transformation, Megan had never been a real fighter other than the self defense classes she took part in. Afterwards she did started fighting, but her small frame will always be a weakness in a straight up fight with others. She can't slug people in the face and knock them down, and she ultimately must rely on her wits and shy away from fights unless the odds are really in her favor.
[-] The cold
With her entire body being attuned to absorbing and controlling heat, being in situations where most or everything is cold and lacking in heat, it will cause her powers to be greatly diminished, and her absorption to get to a crawl or a complete standstill. And whilst she's a christmas person, she'd prefer to spend it in a tropical enviroment now...
[-] Personal Trauma
In a short span of time, she found herself given inhuman powers after a botched experiment. And soon afterwards she saw her parents murdered in front of her whilst having to hide and allow her sister to be abducted by the killers to be experimented upon. In the years after that, she's gone through a harsh and painful training regime to learn to control her powers at a high level, which has further harrowed her soul. Whilst she keeps a brave face and a confident smile towards people that she needs to look tough in front of, all her experiences do affect her greater than she would like to admit.
[-] Lack of focus
Megan has always been a person that at times has issues staying concentrated on the bigger picture, and with all the emotional trauma she has suffered she has had even greater issues keeping control of her emotions in bad moments. Whenever she loses focus and mental control, she loses control of her powers and they go into overdrive, endangering her and others in her vicinity.
[-] Fear of being followed
Ever since her sister got abducted she's always been paranoid and afraid that it would be only a matter of time before they would also come for her to try and 'complete the set' if you will. Megan and her sister's powers work off each other perfectly, and their powers are a perfect example of how the Inhuman race works with polar opposites to find balance. Which for the experimental type would mean having the two sisters under lock and key would help them greatly in their experiments... And part of her knows that if they ever knew where she was, they'd make sure to grab her as quickly as possible...
[*] Finding her sister, and rescuing her from her captors. It is the only thing that matters to her at this point in life.
[*] Becoming a superhero, protecting the innocent, fight the good fight against whatever ails the normal people.
[*] Not being able to rescue her sister from whoever holds her captive. She's the only family left, and they turned Inhuman at the same time, and nobody matters as much as her sister right now.
[*] Being locked up and experimented upon.
Determined and confident, those are two of the biggest traits many people will notice when they meet Megan. When she got something in mind, she's not one to back down and let it slide, she'll push herself further than she needs to if it is neccesary, and she'll run straight into a whole nest of issues because she just cannot step back and accept a loss where there is one. Call it overconfidence, call it foolishness, it's basically how Megan rolls and when she feels she can get something done there's nobody that'll tell her otherwise.
To people on the outside, this also looks like she's greatly confident in her skills. And whilst she knows that her skills can't let her down, she does have a lack of confidence in herself when she lets people get to her. Having felt she let down her parents and allowed her sister to be abducted has given her a survivor trauma where she blames herself for not being able to amount for more when it mattered, even though she couldn't have done anything to change what has happened in her life, she still beats herself up about it.
Another trait of Megan is her light-hearted chattiness, quickly striking up conversations with people she doesn't know or trust, and keeping them guessing about her real state of mind by throwing up a veil of positive vibes and never showing her moments of weakness to anyone but the people who she trusts, which in this case is really a very very small group that can be counted on half a hand.
That light-heartedness also translates into her kind heart and her desire to help and please everyone but the most irredeemable people. She feels there's a good side to all but the worst things going on, and she tries to keep people's spirits up and help them through their moments of weakness to get into a better place. She wants to help people always, and will go out of her way to help them, even putting herself at risk to keep the innocent safe.
But whilst to the outside world she's strong, independent, and confident. She is emotionally more fragile than she wants to admit, her entire adult life being filled with one bad moment after another, and every step after transformation being dedicated to fighting back against those bad experiences, her entire existence effectively is because of the traumas she's experienced five years prior. And all her actions are a facade to make her forget the bad things and keep her mentally sane.

[*] Joanna | Mother (Deceased)
[*] Shannon | Twin-Sister (Alive)
[*] Toto | Pet Dog (Alive)
[*] Nathan Mitchell | Inhuman Mentor (Alive)
IMPORTANT PERSON: None at the moment
Born in Telanken of the Shadow Province to scientists William and Joanna Hopkins, Megan and her twin sister's life has been about science the moment they were born only minutes removed from each other. Having a near spiritual connection with her slightly-older sister, they spent most of their youth together as best friends and study partners whilst their parents where focused on finding breakthroughs in the field of biology and physics.
Whilst both sisters were very much tomboys, they were instilled a very big sense of learning and exploration trying to learn everything about the world around her at a very young age, unknowingly rubbing elbows with famous scientists the world over who either were friends with her parents, or very respected colleagues who were sharing the secrets of their trade. And in combination it only motivated the sisters even further to pursue the same scholarly direction as her parents.
For Megan her interests lied in space, and all the finer things that made the stars align and create the magic that was going on all around her. And as such once she got to a college age her decision was quickly made, she wanted to get a doctorate in astrophysics like her idols Jane Foster and Erik Selvig. Both two people she had met at a very early age, and even though they would not remember her, they had a massive effect on her interests.
But not just astrophysics was what she was learning, at the same time both Megan and her sister assisted her parents in their experiments, mainly with Inhuman technology such as diviners. Trying to find how such things were able to alter humans into inhumans, or straight up kill them if they lacked the certain gene. Trying to decode such alien technology that had transformed many people all around the world.
Eventually the curiosity of the sisters got the better of them, and one fateful night they started to mess around with the diviner themselves, accidentally causing it to activate and envelop the both of them with the mist that could kill anyone without the neccesary gene. And it were her parents that found them on the floor of the laboratory, unconscious but alive. One of the twins burning up, the other being ice cold.
Slowly it dawned that they had been transformed by the diviner, and had been given inhuman powers. Megan the power to control all the ambient heat around her, Shannon the exact opposite being able to control the cold. Both polar opposites, yet able to feed each other by regulating the temperatures around them.
But neither were able to truly control their powers, and Megan especially suffered greatly as her body couldn't keep up with the strain the temperature differences caused. Passing out, and being unable to calm her system down enough to stay conscious. Whilst her sister also had troubles, she seemed to easier and quicker control her given abilities, and had a more natural finesse for it all.
It was slow, but Megan started to learn to control her powers in such a way that they weren't a danger to her and the people around her. And with her parents love and assistance they tried their best to nurture the sisters to become as good as they could be.
But the tangible sense of hope and love wasn't to be either, as one day armed agents burst through the door of the laboratory having found out what had happened. And without giving a single option, they demanded the sisters be handed over to them for the greater good, for the safety of the innocent, and other reasons they might be better off somewhere else.
But her parents refused to give up their children to SHIELD, knowing full well they'd be imprisoned, experimented upon, or brainwashed to do their bidding. But the agents didn't care for their issues, and promptly executed them on the spot for refusing to heed their demands.
The sisters had hidden somewhere safe, but Shannon was the first one to be found by the agents and dragged out of her hiding spot, taken to their base. And they nearly found Megan too, until for one reason they were forced to retreat and leave with only one sister in custody, and leave the other one to grieve the death of her parents, further setting her power development back a great amount as she once more failed to control her powers and she quickly fell unconscious through the strain.
When she woke up, she was somewhere else, but not in a SHIELD cell. She quickly realized why the SHIELD agents had been quick to flee, as she was in an enclave of free Inhumans not associated with Attilan, or any other group. Her saviour being an Inhuman named 'Nathan Mitchell', who had known about the two sisters but had actually respected her parents and left and only kept tabs on them if they had needed help. When the Inhumans had found out about the impending raid, they had tried to mount a protection, but they had been too late to make a difference. With only the sister Megan being the one they were able to save from the hands of the agents.
Knowing there was no better path than stay with the group and accept their assistance in controlling her powers, she made herself the promise to greater learn her powers and find a way to turn those powers in a tool to eventually save her sister from the clutches of the agents that had abducted her and killed their parents. And even though the group was peaceful, they knew they wouldn't be able to change the mind of the young inexperienced Inhuman.
Over the next five years, she worked hard, she suffered, she became a part of the group and came to grips with her powers whilst putting herself through an extreme training regime to not just be able to control the gift she had been given, but be able to master it and use it as a potential weapon against anyone that would threaten her, and the group.
She also grew close to her saviour and mentor, but she never truly acted on her feelings and simply kept the relation friendly and professional. Being too focused on getting better and collecting any sort of evidence about what her parents had learned, and finding clues that could get her to find out what exactly had happened to her sister.
It took her five years, but the moment she turned twenty-seven she decided to finally leave the group that had become her secondary family, and to finally fully commit on finding her real family, or what remained of it. She knows that her path is a dangerous one, and she knows her lack of emotional control means that she'll never truly master her abilities. But she's dedicated in finding the truth, finding allies, and finding a way to rescue her sister from the people that had abducted her five years ago.
