I don’t know why I’m doing this, maybe its Irene rubbing off on me with all of her entries of the future, but I feel the need to remember the past as much as look to the future. I would ask if she minds me using her journal, but I’m sure she would have seen it coming anyway. And most likely long before I did. It was the dawn of a new century, Austria and Hungary were under a monarchic union, and I was forced from my home when my powers manifested at a young age. No, I wasn’t born the vision I am now, though, I don’t remember what I looked like as a child. Really though, who of us does?.. ---------------------------------------- A small group of us were hired to save mutants from German scientists in WWII. Rumor was that Hitler wanted to exploit their powers in his bid for world domination. That is unacceptable and we mean to put a stop to it. Mutants need to be put into their rightful place on this world, and under the rule of a human is unthinkable. There were some powerful mutants in those camps... ---------------------------------------- I met Sabretooth in Berlin. I had taken the identity of a spy by the name of Leni Zauber. Together with Sabretooth, I tracked down and killed a scientist (whose name escapes me now), though I no longer know why he had to be killed. I don’t lose any sleep over it. I don’t lose much sleep over anything really. Not one to be tied down, I had to get away from Victor, and the easiest way to do that was to fake my death. Why is that easier? Well, as barbaric as he might have seemed at the time, something about him just screamed that faking my death was just easier than trying to vanish if he found out I was pregnant with his child. A child who, even with two mutant parents, was just a human. I couldn’t give him up fast enough… --------------------------- Christian wasn’t a handsome man. He wasnt even much of a nice man. But, he was a man of power, and that’s what attracted me to him. He was so desperate for love, and after the failure that was Greyson, I was driven to have another child. Little did I know that my ‘dear husband’ was sterile. Unphased, I used my powers to seduce local men in search of one who could do what Christian could not. That was when I met Azazel. He seemed most like me. We had a connection, or so I thought. At the time, I would have sworn he was my first, actual love. He didnt look down on me for who I was, for what I was. Then, I became pregnant with his child. Deep within my being I knew the baby wouldnt be the same disappointment as Creed’s spawn was. But I also knew that I would have to pass this child off as Christian’s. My thoughts seemed to mirror Azazel’s, as he vanished as soon as he found out about the baby. While Christian was blindly excited about it, his father doubted the paternity and demanded the baby be tested to make sure its blood was pure. I couldnt risk all I had worked for and killed him with a letter opener from his desk. I could not have all I worked for tossed to the side. And once the baby was born and accepted by Christian, the Baron would meet an untimely death, leaving power to just my child and I. A wonderful plan, were it not for the difficulty of this labor. Eventually, I was unable to keep my assumed form. And the baby, my son.. was born a perfect mixture of his parents. Azazel’s devilish looks, my blue skin and yellow eyes. The midwife panicked and alerted the village to the ‘demons’. I took my son and ran. To this day, I regret that I had to do what I did. I had prayed to whatever god looked down on us that he would survive… --------------------------------- Anna’s powers are more powerful than Irene had thought. She put that boy into a coma with a simple kiss. She’s absolutely perfect! It more than makes up for having to live this suburban lifestyle. By her running off though, I fear she is afraid of who she is and doesn’t fully accept it. She is, however, exactly what Magneto needs. I will have to contact him before I track her down again. ----------------------------------- He’s alive! My son.. is alive. My feelings on this, though, are conflicted. I’m overjoyed that he’s alive. My true child. I found myself fighting internally not to run to him as it turns out he is a member of the X-Men. He’s sided with the enemy and I must tread carefully to try to make contact. But I have no idea what Xavier and his followers have put in his head… ------------------------------------- Why must my children abandon me!? I lost Kurt before I even got him, and now my Anna has turned her back on me.. for them! I devoted my life to make that ungrateful child happy, and how does she repay me? By being a turncoat! I will get my children back. They will never fully be accepted by these humans they try so hard to protect. I will make them see the truth, and then I will have my family back where they belong!.. ---------------------------------------- Never thought I'd be back to this house, but after being abandoned by Erik after taking 'the cure' for him, I find I have little where else to go. The life of a human is tiresome and very mundane. I had hoped to be ride of this alias all together. Returning to the life of Anna's aunt is a painful reminder of our failure in our first mission to create mass homosuperior, and my personal failure to have Anna by my side. ---------------------------------------- My eyes have taken on their yellow hue again, and for a moment I thought I was dreaming. I'm able to change them back and forth at will now. This has to be a good sign. When I get my powers back, I will burn this house to the ground, and then find Erik to take care of some unfinished business.
