[/PTab][PTab=PERSONNEL ASSESSMENT] PERSONALITY ASSESSMENT: LIKES: Living the Rich Life – Having grown up as a Genius Playboy Billionaire Philanthropist, even the newer, more modest Tony still has a monument with his name plastered on it. As such, he enjoys a life of comfort and ease. Being Right – With the exception of his father, Tony is use to being the smartest person in the world. As such he is use to being right and often enjoys flaunting this over people. Inventing/Building – When dealing with his personal issues Tony often finds himself retreating into his workshop to design and build his armored suits. It is something in which he can find genuine enjoyment and relaxation. Intelligent Conversation – Tony doesn’t like idiots, often finding normal conversation stifling and slow. In those rare moments where he is conversing with a person of similar intellect, he finds the conversation enjoyable and invigorating. Privacy – As much as he is a man of the spotlight, Tony hates having people intrude on his private time and will often go to extreme lengths to not be interrupted. DISLIKES: Being Lied To – For a man with multiple secrets Tony hates being lied to or manipulated, and hardly ever trusts anyone. He is also compelled to find out the truth, even if it means going against his allies. Naivety/Incompetence – Being someone who is nearly always right, Tony has a snide attitude at best towards others who are less than capable. Being Upstaged – International Billionaire Playboy Philanthropist Tony Stark, doesn’t have many people who can outshine him, and will often go the extra mile against those who do. Being Ordered/Threatened – Tony has never answered to anyone, not even his Nanny. Similarly, he responds poorly to threats and intimidations, often escalating the situations. Personality Assessments – Seriously, Fury? You think J.A.R.V.I.S wouldn’t flag this as soon as it was lodged? It’s nice to see my taxpayer bills at work. – XoX Stark STRENGTHS: Intelligence – Stark’s IQ is at super genius level, and when operating at peak efficiency he might even be smarter than his father. Such an unchallenged mind often makes him appear as rather childish. “Peak Efficiency” Was it efficient enough when I redesigned those Helicarrier turbines for you? C’mon! I’m the best there is apart from Banner. Except I don’t have associated anger issues. Strong Will and Moral Standing – Despite his numerous personality flaws, Stark has proved himself to be a valuable team member and overwhelming optimist, able to stand against a god and delay him. “Threatening. I was Threatening Him.” Celebrity Status – Stark being such a public figure and open with his secret identity, has aided in actually diverting attention away from our other, more clandestine events operatives. WEAKNESSES: Only Human – As Cpt Rogers has previously stated, if you take off the suit what is left of Iron man? The answer is in fact just a man. Due to Starks overwhelming desire to improve his tech and his impatience in properly field testing the gear, he often finds himself without full capabilities. The Ego – It goes without saying, but Starks ego is also his greatest weakness, creating a danger to those around him and resulting in the destruction of his home and properties numerous times. Fractured Psyche – Since his original injury and the creation of the Arc reactor, Stark has bounced from one psychological problem to the next, exhibiting alcoholism, Post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorder, Narcissism, Mild Misogyny, and commitment issues. We suggest enforcing counselling sessions. GOALS: ‘ Stark here. I just overrode the psycho babble to cut to the truth of what I want. Peace, Freedom and the American way. If you don’t buy that I guess you could say I want to live my life on my own terms, without your research documents or psyche evaluations, without corporate rivals going above and beyond to try and kill me, y’know what every eccentric Billionaire inventor wants. Oh, and a son, or daughter, (not a misogynist!) Y’know, a little Stark Jr to inherit my legacy. FEARS: Governmental Spying. But that ones stupid right Fury? Death – Still recovering from the Manhattan Incident and the earlier palladium poisoning, Stark is suffering from panic attacks resulting from his overwhelming fears of a pointless death. Friends – Stark has a close circle of Acquaintances, and when they have been injured or threatened in the past it has often been the one weak point in his armour. Great pun, very funny. You must be the life at parties Success – Stark’s drive for success, both before and after his injury, could stem from a deep fear of failing his Father, and indeed Mother. OVERALL PERSONALITY: Tony Stark is able to see the overall picture with relative ease, and as such is able to use it to his advantage coupled with a strong emotional instinct. However, his brash nature and tendency to withhold his ideas until after he has implemented them make him seem brash and unpredictable. His attitude towards people in power is often confrontational and arrogant, and his numerous charms in front of camera’s and the public can quickly become childish and immature in private, however, he is loyal to his friends and can take matter seriously when called upon. Since his accident Tony Stark has battled numerous foes, both internally and externally. As such he has actually grown emotionally and responsibly to be considered a worthwhile asset. HISTORICAL OVERVIEW: BIRTHPLACE: New York RESIDENCE: Stark mansion; Stark Tower. PARENTS: Howard & Maria Stark (Both Deceased) SIBLINGS: None IMPORTANT RELATIVES: Colonel James Rupert Rhodes Obadiah Stane (Deceased) Happy Hogan (Bodyguard) Pepper Potts (Ex Girlfriend/Partner) IMPORTANT PERSON: None Currently OVERALL HISTORY: Born May 29, 1970, to Howard and Maria Stark, Tony grew up listening to his father tell stories about his friend Captain America, as part of Howards attempts to inspire Tony. This worked, as Tony made his first circuit board aged 4, and built an entire engine before he was 7. He would continue this phenomenal learning growth as he graduated from MIT at the top of his class; aged 17. However, his family life was far from happy as Howard was often absent due to his SHIELD and business duties and his mother was rarely around. Tony’s relationship with his father was not a happy one, Tony often describes him as “cold and calculating.” Most of his early life was therefore filled with servants to cater for his every need. Leading Tony to grow up entitled and spoiled. Tony’s life didn’t change much even when Howard and Maria died in 1991, due to injuries sustained in a car crash. His fathers business partner, Obadiah Stane, took over the CEO position of Stark Industries while Tony grew up and then handed him the company on his 21st birthday when he reached adulthood. Tony’s life between then and the incident when he became Iron Man was filled with partying, alcohol, women and spending money like it was going out of style. Even those traits didn’t stop him from bringing the company into a new age, modernising it and updating it to become more and more focused on military contracts and robotics. It was around this time when he became friends with James Rhodes and dated Maya Hansen, who would later go on to work on the Extremis Project. Sadly, it was around this time when he arrogantly wronged a crippled scientist named Aldrich Killian, something that came back to haunt him decades later. The turning point for Tony came when he took a trip to Afghanistan to demonstrate a new piece of tech, the ‘Jericho’ cluster missile. He was travelling in a military convoy when terrorists from the Ten Rings group attacked and the convoy was bombed by Stark weapons in the process. Tony was held captive in the mountainous terrain, where a fragment of the missile had entered his heart during the bombing. He was kept alive by car batteries and electromagnets. Ordered by the captors to build a new Jericho missile, Tony and his fellow captive instead devised a set of armour Tony called the Mark 1 and an arc reactor and escaped. Tony was the only one to emerge alive at the time, his friend having been killed. Rescued by the military and returned back home, Tony disappeared from public view as he created new armour, tried to fix his newly acquired heart condition and left his company in the hands of Obadiah Stane. After being alerted by the media [and sleeping with the reporter] Tony discovered that his captors had Stark weaponry and that Stane had been working with the terrorists all along. Unveiling his new armour and shell-shocked by the role that his company had been playing in the conflict there, Tony debuted as Iron Man. Saving the village of his fellow captive, he proceeded to destroy the surviving Ten Rings group and ended up confronting the Air Force in the process. After a short fight with them, Tony fled back to the US and tried to uncover what had happened with his company and Stane. Pepper Potts, his assistant, discovered that Obadiah had hired the terrorists to kill Tony and was using his own version of the suit. Confronted by Stane and having lost his chest arc reactor, Tony managed to take Stane down. Pepper managed to overload the systems and destroyed Obadiah, saving Tony and the city. After this happened, Tony revealed his identity as Iron Man on national TV. He then met Nick Fury for the very first time, having already met Agent Coulson beforehand. Having unveiled his identity as Iron Man, Tony had many unusual experiences including having to deal with his business competition at Hammer Industries and a Senate Committee wanting to take his suits and weapons. He then named Pepper as his successor to Stark Enterprises, opened the Stark Expo at Flushing Meadows and hired a lovely and talented young woman with red hair as his new assistant. Her name was Natalie Rushman. She was talented, beautiful, skilled at combat and spoke several languages including Latin. However, despite all this, Tony was slowly being poisoned by the Palladium in his chest piece keeping the shrapnel away from his heart. All this happened before coming into conflict with a mysterious man with long hair and electrical powered whips at the Monaco Grand Prix. When he met the man wielding the electrical whips at Monaco, Tony barely escaped alive thanks in part to Pepper and Happy Hogan. When visiting the captured man, Tony found that his name was Ivan Vanko and he was the son of Anton Vanko, who had helped Howard Stark build many of his designs. He had been deported to Russia years ago and his name wiped from many of the official documents, if not all of them. He had raised his son in Siberia and become a drunk, Ivan himself was a hardened criminal who blamed the Starks for what they had done to his family. Shaken by the news of what his father had done and somewhat worried by the fact Ivan had alluded to his poisoning as a ‘bad way to die,’ Tony attempted to let Pepper know but was ignored. Instead of dealing, he got completely drunk and threw what he thought was his ‘last’ birthday party. As the party spiralled out of control, Rhodes stepped in and tried to break it up but only got into a fight with Tony that destroyed the property. Rhodey took off with one of the suits and disappeared, leaving Tony truly alone for the first time. It was this time that Tony encountered Nick Fury again. Revealing that his assistant was actually a SHIELD Operative called Natasha Romanov aka the Black Widow, Fury revealed new truths about Howard to Tony including his role as a founder of SHIELD, shot him full of a temporary cure to slow the palladium poisoning in his body and gave him a few boxes of Howard’s belongings. Fury then deposited him back at the destroyed property with Agent Coulson to guard him while he figured out the mysteries inside his fathers personal effects, including a possible cure for palladium poisoning. It took the combined efforts of J.A.R.V.I.S, Tony and a diorama of the original Stark Expo to figure out a new element that replaced the palladium in his chest. In the meantime, Pepper had attended the HAMMER showcase of Justin’s new drones and it was revealed that when Rhody had taken the suit, he had given it to the Air Force who had given it to Justin to outfit. They were shortly after hijacked by Ivan Vanko and turned loose on the civilians with Rhodey still inside the Iron Man suit. Tony’s arrival in his suit after having replaced his chest with the new element meant that he was attacked by everything there, Hammer upgraded Iron Man included. Leading them away from the venue, Tony eventually destroyed the drones and got Rhodey free of Vanko’s control by a combination of weaponry, explosions and help from the Black Widow. Eventually defeating Vanko who came after them once he had lost control of his drones, the two parted as friends. Tony then had to face Fury who informed him that Iron Man was welcome to join his new Avengers Initiative but Tony was not. Tony then set about rebuilding his company to focus on sustainable goals, not military ones like his father had been focused on. He managed to succeed with Pepper’s help, turning Stark Tower into a fully independent source of green, clean energy. However, Coulson turned up in the middle of their celebrations and informed Tony of the recent theft of the Tessaract which had been recovered from the Ocean by his father. Aiding in the capture of Loki in Stuttgart, Tony got into a fight with Thor and Captain America when the Norse god turned up to take his brother. Upon reaching the Helicarrier, Stark bonds with Bruce Banner and hacks SHIELD which reveals Fury’s plans for the Tessaract to be used to create weapons aimed at repelling extraterrestrial threats. This causes strife and splits the team, leading to another confrontation with Captain America but all rivalry is forgotten when Hawkeye leads Loki’s men to attack the Helicarrier. Stark and Rogers focus on fixing one of the failing engines but Stark’s suit is badly damaged during the process. It is then that they find out that Agent Coulson has been killed by Loki and the team is scattered, including Banner who has disappeared. Despite the mockery directed at Coulson by Tony, he is deeply hurt by his death and heads back to Stark Tower, only to be confronted by Loki waiting for him. He then threatens him and is saved from being turned to Loki’s side by the arc reactor in his chest, being sent out the window for his pains. The Mark 7 experimental armour he has been working on biometrically locks onto him and he joins the battle against the Chitauri, defeating one of the World Serpents by letting it swallow him and then detonating explosions inside it. Informed by Fury that a nuclear bomb is on its way, Tony intercepts it and drags it up into the portal spewing Chitauri into New York’s airspace. Sending it into the fleet, Stark watches it destroy their enemies before passing out and falling back down. The next thing he remembers is being revived on the ground, having effectively died for several minutes. He then invited the rest of the Avengers to participate in a Shwarma feast after the battle, where they relaxed. Once the New York incident had been resolved, Tony built several dozen suits including the Mark XLII, which was designed to call other suits and continued to date Pepper Potts. However, all this was an attempt to ignore his PTSD symptoms that had started to appear after his near death, giving him panic attacks and nightmares among other things. At the same time, a series of bombing attacks were occurring and were being attributed to a shadowy man called The Mandarin. Happy Hogan was injured in one of these attacks, bringing Tony to issue a public threat to the Mandarin. Because of Tony’s problems and his threat aimed at the Mandarin, he and Pepper’s relationship started to hit the rocks. Then Maya Hansen, Tony’s ex-girlfriend, turned up. As they argued, helicopters attacked the house where they were. Sending the armour onto Pepper as she rescued Maya and then taking it back once they were safe, Tony defended the house until it was destroyed and he was pulled into the ocean in the process. The suit saved him but he was redirected into rural Tennessee when JARVIS instituted the initial flight plan Tony had created to find the Mandarin, the power dying before he could return to California. Seeking supplies, Tony broke into a house and encountered a young boy named Harley while looking for equipment. Although they got off to a rocky start, Tony enlisted the boys help in finding out the truth about the bombings and talked to the mother of one of the recently killed men. It was then that Tony was attacked by two attackers, defeating them with great difficulty and only then with the help of 10 year old Harley. In the process, Tony acquired the location of the Mandarin, somewhere in Florida. Travelling there without his suit as it was still recharging, Tony found the Mandarin to be just a drug-addled actor from England standing in for the real person. Captured by a no longer disabled Aldrich Killian, who he had been cruel to so many years ago, Tony watched Maya die and found Pepper injected with Extremis herself. Escaping by summoning the armour that had been sealed by the exploding house in their waterproof cases, Tony met up with Rhodes. Fighting off Extremis-riddled attackers, Tony couldn’t save the President from Killian’s control of the Iron Patriot armour that Rhodes had been keeping safe. Taking the fight to Killian’s location, Tony unleashed all 35 of his armours as backup while JARVIS controlled their operating systems. During the battle, Rhodes saved the President but Pepper was presumed dead when she fell into a pit of fire and Tony couldn’t catch her in time. Enraged, Tony attacked Killian and trapped him in the Iron Man armour then had it self-destruct. Even that didn’t stop Killian, his death coming when Pepper unexpectedly survived and killed him herself. Holding her close, Tony detonated the remaining suits and focused on getting Pepper cured. Once that was done, Tony had surgery in Switzerland to finally remove the shrapnel in his heart. Since the surgery, Tony hasn’t made any known appearances in an Iron Man suit. Whether any have been created is unknown although he still maintains and upgrades the Iron Patriot suit as per his contract with the US Military. He has assisted SHIELD in creating a new Helicarrier design and has generally been fulfilling his role as a Consultant, as well as several humanitarian, and philanthropic endeavours throughout the world. He has also been spending time with Harley, mentoring the boy in the workshop he had designed for him. Not all things where bright and sparkly however as he quickly found himself worrying more and more about Pepper’s safety. Knowing that he had endangered her life multiple times through his own arrogance and knowing that people would repeatedly target those closest to him, Tony fell back on his oldest weapon, his ego. Calling their relationship off and falling back into the role of billionaire playboy, it wasn’t long before Pepper resigned as CEO and left Stark Industries as Tony secretly hoped she would.
