El has been with the site for nearly two years now and has continued to prove her value. Currently, she is heading up our site event, Battle for Liberterram, on top of keeping up with her own personal plots.
Lux's posts are all wonderful to read. She has done a wonderful job of grasping the new universe and incorporating Peggy into it.
It's good to see Spidey back on the site. Watching him deal with the universe shift in his own snarky way has been nothing short of entertaining.
Eight O'Clock on the Dot!
El and Lux are making magic in this thread. Straight up fireworks, and the way they've played with drawing out the reveal is top class.
Frigga possesses the normal attributes that Asgardians have, including an ability to lift almost twenty tonnes despite her age, as well as a natural ability to wield magic.
Family, has always been important to Frigga for a number of reasons, but most especially because she has a family that was not entirely of her own making. Frigga also has a special place in her heart for her adoptive son Loki because of the nature of his birth, knowing that when he did eventually learn the truth he would be faced with numerous questions he never thought he would have to face. Despite her status a a goddess, Frigga rather enjoys reading as well, allowing herself to read up on all of the ancient stories and legends that come with the city of Asgard. Magic is something that she also has a strong liking for, yet another little thing that she can share with Loki. And unknown to most others, Frigga enjoys being up during the early hours of the morning to watch the sun rise each morning, because each sunrise brings her a new opportunity to do something good with her life.
There are a great many things in the world that Frigga does not like, the first of which is the rivalry that she has seen develop between Loki and Thor over the last number of years. Nor does she particularly approve of the way that her husband seems to falsely encourage the two of them at the same time as to which would eventually be King of Asgard. She also finds that while she isn't one who has enjoyed Earth as much as Thor has, she dislikes the pressure that her son faces with being told to give up his mortal love, as she thinks it is highly unfair of her husband to ask such a thing of him when it was Odin who banished him to Earth in the first place. Frigga also hates war, though she knows that it cannot always be avoided.
Her magical abilities, her parenting skills when trying to bring about a peace between Thor and Loki, being the neutral party when arguments erupt between her children or between them and her husband.
Trying her best to not always side with her children in her heart, the smallest hint of something romantic from her husband, she would give her life to save the life of almost anyone in Asgard.
Peace to be restored to the Nine Realms, and peace to be restored to her entire family.
Losing one of her children or husband permanently.
OVERALL PERSONALITY: As a while, Frigga is the responsible, motherly figure that many people in Asgard look up to when times seem to get a little rough for them, especially with all of the danger that there has been now that the Nine Realms are no longer peaceful. She stands by her family and her people with everything she has, ready and willing to sacrifice her life if it means that her children will be able to continue their lives, as she believes that they each have a purpose to them. And while she isn't overly fond of the rift that has emerged between them all over the last little while, she is determined to make the best of it and mend it. Odin might not also see eye to eye with her in this regard, but it is a rather strong stand that she takes against him and it always proves her stubborn will. And in being a mother, especially the mother of so many celestial beings, she knows that her voice will always sit with them in the future, even when she is no longer there for them.
Balder, Hermod and Tyr (sons), Thor and Loki (foster sons)
Odin Allfather (husband
Frigga became an important figure for Asgard when she accepted the marriage proposal of Odin, the King of Asgard. Once simply known as the Goddess of Love and Marriage to the mortal world, she then became the Queen of Asgard and instantly became beloved by her people for her compassion and the evident love that she bore her husband. Together the pair had three sons; Balder (the god of light), Hermod (the god of speed) and Tyr (the god of war). But from a union outside of their own, Odin became the father of Thor (the god of thunder), and Frigga graciously accepted him as a part of their family despite not being his biological mother. One of her greatest strengths was her ability to love, for even when Odin brought Loki to her following a battle with the Frost Giants, she could not bring herself to think of those two as being any less her sons then the three to whom she was the natural mother.
As the years passed, she watched them all grow to become men, each striking out on their own to discover the fuller potential that life had in store for them. Odin drew closer to the time when he would need to select the son that would succeed him, and while she was fairly certain that Loki would not be the chosen son because of his heritage, Frigga was not entirely surprised to see that Thor had stepped up quickly to prove to his father that he was ready. Each of the five boys had developed a distinctly different personality from the other, and Loki and Thor had become almost night and day to one another. Still, the truth was kept from Loki, not because they feared his knowing, but because they saw no reason to upset the life that he had come to know. Frigga found herself to be rather attentive to her foster son as time wore on, noting the evident differences that made him stand out from the others who all seemed to inherit Odin's might. And with the discovery that Loki too possessed a rather keen ability to use magic, Frigga knew it would be something else that could bond them together the way that blood never would.
With Thor's banishment from Asgard following his attack on the Frost Giants, Frigga was forced to step into a different pair of shoes from those she had previously inhabited. Her husband fell into the Odin Sleep after revealing the truth of his parentage to Loki, which left only him to take over the throne of Asgard in his brother's absence. Instead of insisting that she take control, as Odin had previously discussed with her, Frigga allowed herself to remain at the bedside of her husband and give control to Loki, hoping that perhaps it might prove to both him and her husband that their adoptive son was just as capable as the rest of his brothers. Unfortunately, it was the beginning of something that would not go well for the mischief maker, and Frigga was forced to believe that he had died after falling into a void off of the Rainbow Bridge. Her heart broken, the Queen of Asgard forced herself to maintain a smile for the sake of those around her, but wept bitterly into her pillow each night.
Upon the discovery that Loki was alive however, something in Frigga changed forever. She had heard all about the trouble that was being caused down on Earth and watched as Odin gathered the dark magic to send Thor back to them. Eventually Thor did return with Loki in tow, as a prisoner of Asgard. Another gash was created across her heart as Frigga begged Odin to spare the life of their son, who would otherwise have been tried as a war criminal and likely put to death for his treasonous actions. The two of them have not been allowed to speak since his return to Asgard, though she knows that they did not have them in their grasp for long before everything changed once more and Loki set about to do whatever it was his dark little heart desired.
