OVERALL PERSONALITY: Gwen is a brilliant individual, who allows her mind to almost all of the thinking while also allowing it to coincide with the choices that her heart wants to make as well. When having a conversation with her, you can tell that the girl is very witty and enjoys a bit of humor every now and then. A very humble human being, someone who doesn't think very highly of herself compared to others, in a way that makes everyone seem as equals in her eyes. She has always thought of herself as the girl-next-door while not using her attractive looks to speak for her. While she wouldn't fully classify herself as a nerd, Gwen knows how smart she is and isn't afraid to use her knowledge when needed. Just like any other female, she will question herself at times, and can also be self-conscious every now and then. But she also enjoys the simple things in life; like shopping, fashion, looking cute, and enjoying her time out with her friends and family. Outside of academics Gwen can be a very friendly person, not afraid to meet new people and discover different and new experiences. Outside of her social life, she enjoys tutoring others, as well as helping, volunteering, loving, and working hard to get what she wants in life. Having a father in the police force as well as losing him has put a number on Gwen. Although she only means well, she absolutely hates taking "no" for an answer. She can get very stubborn but that is usually in a sense of her being selfless and just wanting to look out for others. She will make mistakes, bad calls, and poor judgement and that is what makes her human. Her humanity plays a big role on why she is so easily liked by those who come across her. She hates sitting around and just waiting for things to happen, she rather be on her feet and making things happen. The men in her life contributed to her need of wanting to contribute and put her life on the line despite any dangerous situations that she may come across. And now with her father gone, Gwen has also contributed more at home becoming the second "guardian" to her younger brothers. Taking on the more serious and nurturing role of a big sister and best friend. HISTORICAL OVERVIEW: BIRTHPLACE: New York City RESIDENCE: In an apartment near NYU PARENTS: George (deceased) & Helen Stacy SIBLINGS: Howard, Philip, & Simon Stacy IMPORTANT RELATIVES: N/A IMPORTANT PERSON:Her boyfriend; Peter Parker OVERALL HISTORY: Gwendolyn Maxine Stacy was born and raised in New York City, raised in a proper household of both parents present and three younger brothers, she became the oldest child after a short amount of years. Even with being born and raised in the city, Gwen always felt like the girl-next-door and showed to be a great example of how a young lady grows up in a loving family who was taught manners, as well with the encouragement from her parents of her curiosity for learning something new everyday which later on developed into a love for science. Growing up, Gwen's relationship with her parents had always been a positive one, for the most part. Not afraid to show their pride for their daughter in all of her accomplishments, they often encouraged the fact that she had become smarter than the both of them even when they were her age. With her father being a police chief (Captain Stacy), Gwen grew up with the fear of knowing that her father had to face danger almost everyday in a city like New York. Losing her father had become one of her biggest fears and throughout her years, that fear made her strong enough to accept that this was his job but would still worry about him in the end. The older she became, the more apparent it was that her hobby and passion would start to show in her school work. Gwen achieved only the greatest of grades in almost all of her classes. She wasn't trying to prove anything, instead Gwen just gave in to the fact that she loved having knowledge and enjoyed using it and exploring the possibilities, while using her love for science to be more efficient in those classes. While keeping up with her love for science in school was hard work, it still paid off. And even with her gift of knowledge, Gwen still managed to balance school and her social life, while still enjoying all that being a young woman had to offer. During the beginning of her high school career, Gwen started interning at Oscorp and was able to impress a few heads during her time there. It wasn't long before she was offered a position as Dr. Curt Connor's lab assistant. For the most part, Gwen enjoyed her time at Oscorp and found it to be one of her most eventful happenings in her life... well, until she officially met this one guy named Peter Parker. The two of them had gone to the same school for a while but she didn't really know him that well. It wasn't until his scuffle with Flash (when she had to call him out in front of everyone), that she realized Parker also dealt with Flash's bullying. Afterwards, during a class they had together, Gwen finally asked his name as she noticed that not only was he cute but he had a good personality, especially when he chose to stand up for Gordon while getting bullied by Flash outside. Surprisingly it wouldn't be the last time that they'd speak with each other either. A few days later, Gwen was to be put in charge of a tour group during one of the Oscorp tours which was made up of some of the brightest and curious young faces, people as young as her. In that group, however, Gwen noticed a familiar face that didn't exactly fit with the Oscorp tour name tag on his shirt. Gwen wasn't really sure how or why but Peter had found his way into the tour group and even though she let him get away with it, all she'd ask from him was to make sure that he didn't get her into any trouble. When he agreed, she continued on with the tour but only to find out he had parted from the group and she caught him sneaking from one of the lab rooms. Not very pleased with his decision to go off on his own when she told him not to, she told Peter to leave and continued back to work. During the next couple of days, Gwen found herself neck up in books as more and more tests were slowly creeping up. During one of her study nights, Gwen had the television on with the volume up just slightly. The news had mentioned someone being fatally shot that night and Gwen hadn't really thought twice about it as they hadn't released a name. The next morning before school, her father had finally came home after being at work. After asking about his night, Gwen's father had mentioned that the incident last night had involved Peter's uncle Ben, who so happened to be at the wrong place and at the wrong time. The news made Gwen's heart drop and during school that day, she made sure to give Peter her condolences because she did care, and it hurt to know that he was dealing with his sudden loss. After that, it was almost nearly difficult to get Peter off of her mind and thus becoming closer to him the more time the spent together. She enjoyed being around him, his company, his humor and smile were also a plus. It wasn't long before Gwen invited Peter over for dinner with her family, but while the conversations at the dinner table between Peter and her father became more on the intense side, Gwen went outside with Peter, where he trusted her enough to spill that he was actually Spider-Man. As well as sharing their first kiss that she would remember for a long time. This new information did make things a bit more difficult for Gwen later on, as she had nothing against Spider-Man but now knew that it was Peter in that suit and couldn't help but to worry or internally panic whenever she heard, or saw him save the day. It was amazing to know what he was capable of doing and that he chose to do good things with his abilities. In Gwen's eyes, he was a great person. She loved what Spider-Man did for the people of New York and sometimes found herself disagreeing when her father spoke badly about the hero, but it didn't change the fact that she was into Peter Parker way more than the hero. Once Gwen was informed by Peter that her mentor, Dr. Connors had gone crazy after using the serum on himself, she wanted to help him in any way possible. Thus giving Spider-Man the antidote to the lizard situation. The only issue was, now Gwen had to stay back and hope for the best. Both her father and her boyfriend were out there, going against Dr. Connors in his new form and that didn't sit well with Gwen at all. There were now two men in her life that had to face danger almost every day and this was just the cherry on top. Later on that night, Gwen found herself at home with her mother and brothers, only to discover that the plan did work but at a cost. They were informed that her father had died that night while helping Spider-Man defeat Dr. Connors. Even though she believed she had prepared herself for something like this, she just wasn't prepared... at all. Losing her father had been devastating and while everyone else called it 'serving your city', Gwen just didn't want to see it as that and now she would have to deal with the fact that he was gone and mourn. During her father's funeral, she noticed that Peter hadn't attended and not only did it confuse her, but it broke her heart to think that he didn't want to attend... him of all people. So she gave him a visit after the funeral only confront a saddened Peter and at that same moment, he broke up with her, completely ending their relationship. Only to realize that it had been because of a promise he made to her father. Gwen tried her best to keep herself together, but after losing her father and getting dumped by the one person she wanted to be with, it was difficult. While it didn't take forever, it still felt as such before her and Peter ended up back together. During her last moments in High School, Gwen was voted as Valedictorian by her peers and teachers and had put together an amazing speech for graduation. While Peter did miss her speech while secretly handling business as Spider-Man, he did make up for it and graduation day seemed to be getting better and better as the day went on. Soon Gwen would have to deal with choosing which college to attend and if she was ready to leave her home. so she chose to stay in the city and choose the Ivy League school in New York while keeping a position at Oscorp. It wasn't until around the age of twenty-one that she felt as if she could do more with her knowledge. Gwen felt the need to want to help the world in a bigger cause. Seeing the Avengers do what they do best helped the idea blossom. While working at Oscorp had been an amazing experience, she still longs to work for something bigger, something that would make her feel more complete. She didn't know exactly what it was but once she finds it, she would ready to part ways with Oscorp. [/PTab][PTab=IMAGE][/PTab][/PTabbedContent={width:485px;border:0px;margin-left:-2px;}] |
